    Abstract: The present invention relates to an apparatus and method for detecting an oil spill by using a satellite image, an apparatus for detecting an oil spill by using a satellite image, the apparatus including: a satellite image reception unit configured to receive a satellite image of a predicted oil spill area; a satellite image correction unit configured to correct the satellite image by compensating for the influences of the atmosphere and waves; a spectral angle mapper image generation unit configured to generate a spectral angle mapper image; a spectral vector distance image generation unit configured to generate a spectral vector distance image; and an oil spill area detection unit configured to derive the range of the oil spill area by combining the spectral angle mapper image and the spectral vector distance image together.

    Abstract: A temperature sensor circuit may include a ring oscillator being enabled according to an enable signal and outputting a square wave signal with a first frequency, a divider dividing the first frequency of the square wave signal from the ring oscillator to generate a pulse signal with a second frequency, a counter counting a time interval of the pulse signal outputted from the divider according to an external clock to generate a count signal, a latch temporarily storing a value of the counter signal according to the pulse signal and outputting a digital code, and a supply voltage monitor being enabled according to the pulse signal, comparing a reference voltage to one or more comparison voltages and generating a switching logic signal. The reference voltage is kept at a substantially constant level when a level of a supply voltage changes.

    Abstract: Disclosed are particles which are introduced into target cells and suppress the expression of specific genes, and a method of manufacturing such particles. More particularly, the present invention relates to DNA-RNA hybrid particles that comprise a DNA strand and an RNA strand that binds to the DNA strand through partial complementary base pairing, in which the DNA strand comprises an aptamer sequence that is able to bind to a target protein produced in a target cell, and the RNA strand comprises an siRNA sequence that binds to a target RNA in the target cell to suppress protein expression from the target RNA. Such hybrid particles are capable of effectively delivering an siRNA therapeutic agent into target cells for the treatment of disease, and have resistance against digestion by in vivo nucleases, DNase and RNase, owing to complementary binding formed between DNA and RNA strands. Also, the present invention relates to a method of manufacturing such DNA-RNA hybrid particles.
