摘要： A pulse generator unit for a fuel pump register employs a pulser shaft driven by a pulser drive gear rotatable with a lowest order counter wheel. A permanent magnetic means at the end of the pulser shaft rotates and actuates a reed switch to produce a pulse train having pulses indicative of rotation of the counter wheel. A ratchet clutch assembly is employed to selectively permit rotation of the pulser shaft in a counting direction and a resetting direction.

摘要： Gasoline dispensing apparatus with cost and volume registers composed of banks of rotary electromagnetic indicators, each having a two-coil electromagnetic stator for indexing a respective rotary indicator wheel, and a drive circuit for accumulating the cost and volume of fuel delivered and for indexing the indicator wheels of the banks thereof for registering the cost and volume of fuel delivered. The drive circuit is operable for indexing each indicator wheel with multiple step indexing cycles providing a predetermined multiple step energization sequence of the two coils of the electromagnetic stator. The drive circuit is operable for resetting the counter wheels by indexing the wheels in the forward direction to their "9" positions and then nine counts in the reverse direction to their "0" count positions where the wheels are retained against further reverse rotation by one-way locking pawls.

摘要： A fuel dispensing system is provided with an indicator verification system for confirming the operability of segmented numeral indicators comprising a control unit operable between ON and OFF positions; synchronizer logic circuitry for sequentially visualizing and blanking all segments of the segmented numeral indicators and a timer circuit for programming the operation of the synchronizer circuit. The control unit is operatively connected to the synchronizer logic circuitry and to the timer circuit for activating the synchronizer to visualize all segments of the indicators and initiate operation of the timing circuit upon operation of the control means to its ON position. Timed interval operation of the timer circuit automatically terminates full segment visualization, initiates and terminates blanking of the indicators, resets the counters of the fuel dispensing system and conditions the fuel dispensing system for dispensing fuel. Upon completion of the fuel delivery, operation of the control unit to its OFF position initiates recycling of the verifying sequence followed by termination of the indicator display readout after an appropriate time interval.
