    摘要: The present technology relates to a volumetric measurement device and various methods for operation of the device. The device comprises at least one accelerometer for detecting the angle of tilt/tip of a container. The device also comprises at least one fluid property processor capable of providing at least one fluidic property value of a fluid, a flow-rate processor capable of continuously calculating the present flow rate of the fluid when poured from the container, and a volume processor capable of continuously calculating the present volume of the fluid within the container. The flow-rate processor calculates the rate of flow of the fluid poured from the container based on the angle of tilt/tip of the apparatus, the at least one fluid property value, and the present volume of fluid within the container.

    摘要: A drug delivery system for delivering a fluid to a desired location within a body that uses two control loops to control fluid flow: a first control loop in which a pressure source moves the fluid at an approximate rate, and a second control loop where a variable impedance mechanism more precisely controls the flow rate. After the fluid has moved through the chambers of these two control loops, a flow sensor measures the flow rate, sends the flow rate information to the control electronics, which then adjusts the pressure and impedance in a closed-loop manner to maintain a constant, desired flow rate. The drug delivery device may be used in portable or wearable mechanisms.

    摘要: A metering device for a lubricant dispenser has an inflow opening and at least two outflow openings for dividing up the amounts of lubricant being conveyed, and has a slide inserted into a housing of the metering device so as to move lengthwise, which slide has an axial bore on the inflow side. The outflow openings are connected to the axial bore of the slide on the inflow side by way of a displacement chamber, in each instance. The displacement chambers are hydraulically separated from one another by kickback valves. A forward stroke of the slide brings about a reduction in volume of the displacement chambers and flow of the lubricant out of the outflow openings. A backward stroke of the slide brings about an increase in volume of the displacement chambers and follow-up flow of the lubricant through the kickback valves.

    摘要: A fuel delivery system for use, for example in a gas turbine engine system, includes a fuel metering unit including a main fuel inlet. The fuel metering unit includes fuel pressure and temperature sensors. A cavitating venturi is in fluid communication with the main fuel inlet and includes venturi characteristics such as throat diameter. A fuel nozzle is in fluid communication with the venturi for delivering fuel to the gas turbine engine. A controller is connected to the pressure temperature sensors and is operable to calculate a flow rate of fuel through the nozzle based upon the signals from the pressure and temperature sensors and the fuel and venturi characteristics. A variable cavitating venturi may be arranged within the throat to vary the area and adjust the flow rate through the venturi. The cavitating venturi can also be used at the fuel nozzle to further simplify the fuel delivery system.

A first pump delivers liquid from the intermediate vessel to processing equipment at one rate. A second pump delivers liquid from the reservoir to the intermediate vessel at a second much faster rate. A monitor device continuously monitors the weight of the vessel and controls the first pump accordingly to deliver the required weight of liquid at the required rate to the processing equipment. The monitoring device determines when the weight of liquid in the intermediate vessel has reached a minimum position to initiate operation of the second pump to refill to vessel and a further device terminates operation of the second pump when the liquid level in the vessel reaches a maximum position.

    摘要: A system for pumping a selected fuel product from a storage tank to a dispenser includes a site controller, several fuel dispensers, each operable for dispensing a selected fuel product, and a data link connected to convey product information from a selected dispenser to the site controller. Several storage tanks each contain a different fuel product from each other tank, and also contain a submersible pump in each tank. A relay is connected to each pump. A submersible pump controller (SPC) is connected to each relay and the site controller. The SPC may also be connected to each dispenser. The SPC receives product selection information from the site controller and activates the relay connected to the pump in the storage tank containing the selected product, whereby the selected fuel product is pumped to the selected dispenser.
