摘要： A bale lifting device for use with flatbed trucks has a rigid bed member, recessed portions at each corner for receiving a portion of a pair of hinged arms, a rigid housing hingedly attached to the truck bed, two rigid arms, each having two members attached at an angle, with respect to the other, one portion of which is received in the recessed portion of the bed, and where the housing is hydraulically hinged to the bed so as to provide for movement of the arms to and from a first lowered position having the arms extending outwardly from the rear end of the bed, to a second stored position having the arms rest on top of the bed without regard to any hinged position of the arms, and so as to allow the arms to rest on the bed and act as siderails to the bed; a pair of spinners having holding shafts angularly attached is removably attached to the rigid arms to create a functional multiuse flatbed with hinged arms that are both flush and that act as siderails.

摘要： An improvement in a self-loading apparatus for picking up and moving a bale of hay having diameters of up to about 3 or 4 feet and longitudinal lengths of up to about 5 or 6 feet. The apparatus is of the type including a main frame member supported on wheels mounted near the end of the main frame. A hitch frame has one end pivotally connected to the front end portion of the main frame, with the other end of the hitch frame adapted for attachment to a tow vehicle. The main frame is adapted to be tilted upwardly about the support wheels when braking devices on the wheels are activated and the tow vehicle is backed up. A pair of load engaging and clamping swing arms are pivotally attached to the respective sides of the main frame. Devices are provided with the main frame and hitch frame for pivotally moving the swing arms away from each other when the main frame is tilted upwardly and, conversely, for pivotally moving the swing arms toward each other when the main frame is lowered by moving the tow vehicle forward while the braking devices on the wheels of the main frame is activated. The improvement of the present invention provides devices for allowing the bale of hay to lie on the ground and be unrolled along the ground by pulling the apparatus forward. Unrolling the bale in such manner provides a long strip of hay for feeding animals.

摘要： A round bale handler comprises a frame with a rear member, and a spike. The spike has a pointed front end to penetrate the round bale, and a rear end pivotally connected to the frame so that the spike is swingable between forward and sideways positions. The spike is of a sufficient length such that a front portion of it can penetrate through the axis of the bale and extend substantially along the entire length of it. Stop means are provided for releasably retaining the spike in the forward position and preventing it from swinging beyond each sideways position. A method of using the handler is also disclosed.

On this chassis is mounted a tub 7 equipped with a movable bottom 8 the trajectory of which incorporates a dihedral with a variable angle determined by a concave or convex diversion of the active trajectory of the conveyor belt and at any point of the latter, which conveyor belt discharges into a device for shredding and ejection, whose large-diameter rotor carries shredding teeth 22 at its front and fan blades 24 at its periphery. The dihedral angle can be adjusted by a ram 13; its position in space can be determined by the action of the ram 6 or by inflection of the drawbar around the shaft 25 or by the combination of these different actions.

The bale holder is supported by a lift mechanism having a pair of vertically movable, projecting arms at the end of which the holder is pivotally connected. A device for rotating the bale holder with respect to the supporting lift mechanism is provided, so that the holder can be positioned in a hay dispensing position and in two different bale loading positions respectively rotated of an angle of 90.degree. and 180.degree. with respect to the hay dispensing position. Hooks projecting from the longitudinal sides of the holder are provided having a cooperating jaw-movement for grasping the bale during loading operation.

摘要： A round bale loading device is provided that can be stowed in flush mounted relationship with the working surface of a flat bed vehicle. The apparatus includes a pair of cooperating bale gripper arms that are received in grooves in the flat bed surface for stowage, an extensible piston and cylinder assembly coupled to and depending from the underside of the flat bed, and linkage coupling the piston and cylinder with the gripping arms for shifting of the arms from their stowed position to an operation position wherein the arms extend outwardly in bale gripping alignment from the vehicle. The invention provides a conventional flat bed vehicle with the ability to pick up and transport round bales without detracting from the vehicle's ability to transport general purpose loads.

摘要： A load carrier is provided including a trailer main frame defining front and rear end portions and provided with hitch structure at the front end portion. The rear end portion of the main frame includes opposite side support wheels and an upstanding lift frame is pivotally supported at its lower end from the rear end portion of the main frame for swinging about a horizontal transverse axis forward of the wheels between a first rearwardly and upwardly inclined position with an upper portion of the lift frame disposed rearward of the wheels and a second position with the upper end portion swung forwardly to a position forward of the axis of rotation of the wheels. A winch is carried by the main frame for pulling the lift frame upper portion forwardly toward second position thereof. The lift frame and main frame include coacting abutmentstructure defining a limit position of swinging movement of the lift frame from the first position to the second position and opposite sides of the upper portion of the lift frame include gripping structure for gripping a load disposed therebetween. The lift frame, when in the second position, is balanced to swing by gravity to the first position from the second position, even when a load is not supported from the gripping structure. Further, the lift frame includes a lower tine frame swingably supported therefrom for cradling the lower periphery of an associated load such as a round hay bale.
