摘要: A mobile platform and a mobile base designed to support a device such as an X-ray machine is provided. The platform or base is configured to move using a motor-driven system associated with a navigation system. The navigation system enables the platform or base and any device supported by the platform or base (if any) to be moved automatically and with precision from one position to another within any defined space such as an examination, hybrid or operation room. An X-ray machine configured for mounting on the base is also provided. The X-ray machine is configured to move about the patient while at the same time keeping the region to be subjected to radiography within an X-ray beam.

摘要: The present invention relates to a moving equipment, such as in a medical examination system. In order to provide a facilitated way of moving equipment with high accuracy, a driving device (10) for moving equipment is provided, comprising a motor-driven positioning unit (12), a central processing unit (14), and a user interface (16) with at least one sensor unit (18). The motor-driven positioning unit is configured to carry out a movement (M) of movable equipment. Further, the central processing unit is configured to control the movement of the equipment provided by the motor-driven positioning unit. The at least one sensor unit comprises at least one touch sensitive area (20), and the at least one sensor unit is configured to provide control signals (22) to the central processing unit in dependency from a force (F) applied by a user to the at least one touch sensitive area. Still further, the at least one sensor unit is configured to be fixedly attached to the movable equipment.

摘要: An apparatus assembly of a medical apparatus is equipped for collision detection by attaching a polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF) cover assembly to at least one rigid surface of the apparatus assembly, with a resilient material between the PVDF cover assembly and the rigid surface. The PVDF assembly is composed of a PVDF foil with electrically conductive layers on opposite sides thereof. A protective layer covers the PVDF cover assembly. Electrical leads are connected to the conductive layers, and the piezoelectric property of the PVDF foil produces a voltage across the leads when a force associated with a collision acts on the PVDF foil. A detection circuit detects this voltage and initiates an appropriate response to the collision.

摘要: Systems and methods for breast x-ray tomosynthesis that enhance spatial resolution in the direction in which the breast is flattened for examination. In addition to x-ray data acquisition of 2D projection tomosynthesis images ETp1 over a shorter source trajectory similar to known breast tomosynthesis, supplemental 2D images ETp2 are taken over a longer source trajectory and the two sets of projection images are processed into breast slice images ETr that exhibit enhanced spatial resolution, including in the thickness direction of the breast. Additional features include breast CT of an upright patient's flattened breast, multi-mode tomosynthesis, and shielding the patient from moving equipment.

摘要: Methods and systems for controlling movement of detectors having multiple detector heads are provided. One system includes a gantry, a patient support structure supporting a patient table thereon, and a plurality of detector units. At least some of the detector units are rotatable to position the detector units at different angles relative to the patient table. The imaging system further includes a detector position controller configured to control the position of the rotatable detector units, wherein at least some of the rotatable detector units positioned adjacent to each other have an angle of rotation to allow movement of the rotatable detector units a distance greater than a gap between adjacent rotatable detector units. The detector position controller is configured to calculate at least one of field of view avoidance information or collision avoidance information to determine an amount of movement for one or more of the rotatable detector units.

摘要: An X-ray shield for a horizontal X-ray procedure table, the X-ray shield comprising a horizontal support bar comprising at least one substantially vertically aligned slot, in combination with an X-ray opaque top shield comprising at least one downwardly projecting pin, the at least one pin being arranged so as to be disposable within the at least one slot from above in order to engage the top shield with the horizontal support bar, the X-ray shield further comprising a latch engagable to prevent the separation of the top shield from the support bar when the top shield is engaged with the support bar, and wherein the latch can be unengaged to permit the removal of the top shield from the support bar by withdrawing the as least one pin from the at least one slot.
