摘要: A system for few-view computed tomography (CT) image reconstruction is described. The system includes a preprocessing module, a first generator network, and a discriminator network. The preprocessing module is configured to apply a ramp filter to an input sinogram to yield a filtered sinogram. The first generator network is configured to receive the filtered sinogram, to learn a filtered back-projection operation and to provide a first reconstructed image as output. The first reconstructed image corresponds to the input sinogram. The discriminator network is configured to determine whether a received image corresponds to the first reconstructed image or a corresponding ground truth image. The generator network and the discriminator network correspond to a Wasserstein generative adversarial network (WGAN). The WGAN is optimized using an objective function based, at least in part, on a Wasserstein distance and based, at least in part, on a gradient penalty.

摘要: A method of investigating a specimen using a tomographic imaging apparatus comprising: A specimen holder, for holding the specimen; A source, for producing a beam of radiation that can be directed at the specimen; A detector, for detecting a flux of radiation transmitted through the specimen from the source; A stage apparatus, for producing relative motion of the source with respect to the specimen, so as to allow the source and detector to image the specimen along a series of different viewing axes; A processing apparatus, for assembling output from the detector into a tomographic image of at least part of the specimen, which method comprises the following steps: Considering a virtual reference surface that surrounds the specimen and is substantially centered thereon; Considering an incoming point of intersection of each of said viewing axes with this reference surface, thereby generating a set of such intersection points corresponding to said series of viewing axes; Choosing discrete viewing axes in said series so as to cause said set to comprise a two-dimensional lattice of points located areally on said reference surface in a substantially uniform distribution.

摘要: Provided are a method and apparatus for interpolating X-ray tomographic image data by using a machine learning model. A method of interpolating an X-ray tomographic image or X-ray tomographic composite image data includes obtaining a trained model parameter via machine learning that uses a sub-sampled sinogram for learning as an input and uses a full-sampled sinogram for learning as a ground truth; radiating X-rays onto an object at a plurality of preset angular locations via an X-ray source, and obtaining a sparsely-sampled sinogram including X-ray projection data obtained via X-rays detected at the plurality of preset angular locations; applying the trained model parameter to the sparsely-sampled sinogram by using the machine learning model; and generating a densely-sampled sinogram by estimating X-ray projection data not obtained with respect to the object on the sparsely-sampled sinogram.

In one aspect, CT scan is performed with a high energy and a low energy periodical and alternatively changed on a scanning target, reconstruction data for a high-energy image of a current reconstruction position is obtained based on whether a circle of high-energy scan closest to the current reconstruction position of the scanning target is a full circle of scan, the high-energy image of the current reconstruction position is reconstructed according to the reconstruction data of the high-energy image; reconstruction data for a low-energy image of the current reconstruction position is obtained based on whether a circle of high-energy scan closest to the current reconstruction position of the scanning target is the full circle of scan, the low-energy image of the current reconstruction position is reconstructed according to the reconstruction data of the low-energy image.

摘要: A CT image reconstruction system is provided that provides a solution to a few-view problem by generating a 3D image from measurements and a forward projection matrix for a CT scan of an object that tends to minimize streaks and other artifacts. The system initially receives measurements and a forward projection matrix for the CT scan. The system during an initial stage generates an initial 3D image based on various constraints so that (1) the reconstruction of the initial 3D image can be perform quickly and (2) the difference between the measurements and the forward projection of the initial 3D image has significantly lower contrast and high frequency content as compared the measurements themselves. The system then during a final stage applies an iterative algorithm to reconstruct the 3D image with the 3D image initialized to the initial 3D image at the beginning of the iterative algorithm.

摘要: A method for image reconstruction includes irradiating an object with a beam of radiation from a radiation source, measuring an attenuated portion of the beam, estimating a density of the object, determining a predicted attenuated portion of the beam using the density estimate, and iteratively adjusting the density estimate of the object. The predicted attenuated portion and the measured attenuated portion are compared to determine a signal difference. The density estimate of each portion of the object is adjusted by scaling the density estimate using the average signal differences of rays that intersect the portion of the object. The density estimate may be repeatedly adjusted until a difference between consecutive density estimates is below a selected threshold or a predetermined number of adjustments have been completed. The attenuated portion of the beam may include a scattered portion and a transmitted portion.

摘要: There is provided an image processing apparatus for reconstructing a tomographic image of a subject based on a plurality of projection images obtained by detecting radiation emitted from a plurality of different positions. The image processing apparatus reconstructs a first tomographic image from the plurality of projection images, extracts a fixed pattern occurring in the first tomographic image due to a radiation detector, and forms a second tomographic image by updating the first tomographic image using a value concerning intensity of the fixed pattern as a regularization term. The image processing apparatus outputs, as the tomographic image of the subject, the second tomographic image obtained by the update.
