Abstract:
A curved part 10 having a hat-shaped cross section is produced by press-forming without causing cracks and wrinkles. When producing a curved part 10, which is made up of a top plate 11, vertical walls 12a and 12b extended in parallel with each other along ridgelines 14a and 14b of the top plate, and outwardly directed flanges 13a and 13b which connect to leading edges of the vertical walls, and has a generally hat-shaped cross section, by press forming, the metal material sheet 601 is interposed and constrained by the die 502 and the blank holder 505 and is press-formed while the metal material sheet 601 being interposed and constrained by the pad 503 and the punch 504.
Abstract:
The invention resides in a hydraulic cylinder (23) for a hydraulic drawing cushion (20) of a drawing press (10). The hydraulic cylinder (23) includes a first operating chamber (47), a second operating chamber (48), and a third operating chamber (53). An annular piston (45) with a first piston surface area (49) and a second piston surface area (50) separates the first operating chamber (47) from the second operating chamber (48). The first and the second piston surfaces (49, 50) have the same size. A front surface of the piston rod (33) forms a third piston surface (54) which is larger than the first and second piston surfaces. The third piston surface (54) delimits the third operating chamber (53) of the hydraulic cylinder (23). The first and the second operating chambers (47, 48) are provided for controlling the position and/or the movement of the piston rod (33). The third operating chamber (53) serves to control the metal sheet clamping force of the drawing press via the piston rod (33).
Abstract:
A method for producing a pot-shaped component from a flat blank. The method comprises the following steps: a) shaping the flat blank in at least one deep-drawing step to form a pot-shaped raw component having a substantially flat bottom area and a circumferential frame, b) shaping said pot-shaped in a tool having a conically tapered die that applies shear to the circumferential surface of the frame in the axial direction against the conically tapered die. In step b), the bottom area is clamped at between an ejector and a hold-down means and the conically tapered die surrounds the bottom area of the raw component radially on the outside and extends in a diameter-reducing manner in the tool stroke.
Abstract:
According to the die cushion apparatus of a press machine and the die cushion controlling method of the present invention, in holding the cushion pad on standby at a desired standby position, it is possible to hold the cushion pad on standby in parallel with the lower faces of the dies mounted to the slide, and if the lower faces of the dies are inclined, it is possible to hold the cushion pad on standby in the state of being inclined. Through this configuration, it is possible to easily allow the material to come into contact with the lower faces of the dies from the beginning of the die cushion force control (beginning of the collision), and also possible to smoothen the die cushion action in the plane, thereby enhancing the formability.
Abstract:
A striker plate for a sheet-metal forming tool designed to be arranged between a gas-filled spring having a striking surface on a piston rod stop and a surface situated on the sheet-metal forming tool and thereby to receive force from the gas-filled spring in sheet metal forming. The striker plate includes a spring part arranged between a striker part and a bottom part, and is designed to be arranged at one of the surfaces.
Abstract:
A control device, for a servo die cushion, capable of improving a response after overshoot generated by collision of a slide and a die cushion. The control device has a local maximum point judging part which judges a local maximum point based on the detected speed of the servomotor; a speed correction value calculating part which calculates a speed correction value for the servomotor based on the judgment result and the detected speed of the slide; a second force commanding part which generates a second force command value, the second force command value decreasing from an initial value to a first force command value, the initial value being equal to the force detected value when reaching generally the local maximum point. The force command value is switched from the first force command value to the second force command value, when the force detected value reaches the local maximum point.
Abstract:
An apparatus may have a cylinder including a piston rod and a chamber in which a working fluid is received to resist movement of the piston rod into the chamber, and an accumulator having a first chamber in communication with the cylinder chamber to receive fluid from the cylinder chamber upon movement of the piston rod into the cylinder chamber. The apparatus may also have a pressure controller having a fluid chamber where some of the working fluid may be received and an actuator operable to increase the volume of the fluid chamber when the piston rod is retracted into the cylinder chamber to increase the total volume in which the working fluid may be received, wherein the increased volume of the fluid chamber may accommodate fluid movement in the assembly not caused by movement of the piston rod.
Abstract:
A control device for a press machine, by which one of the slide and the die cushion is suitably controlled, when a malfunction occurs in the other, such that the force between the slide and the die cushion does not excessively increase. The control device includes a slide control part for controlling the motion of the slide and a die cushion control part for controlling the motion of the die cushion. A first transmitter transmits an abnormal signal from the die cushion control part to the slide control part when a first detector detects a malfunction of the die cushion. The slide control part is configured to move the slide, when receiving the abnormal signal, such that the slide is away from the position of the die cushion at the time of receiving the abnormal signal by a certain distance and, to stop the slide.
Abstract:
A press-working apparatus capable of forming a clear character line. The press-working apparatus forms a product having a character line. The press-working apparatus comprises an upper die and a lower die arranged across a steel sheet, an upper die mechanism for moving the upper die toward and away from the lower die, a first holder and a second holder for clamping the steel sheet and applying an unwrinkling force to the same, and a control unit for controlling the upper die mechanism and the first holder. The upper die is divided on the character line of the product into a first upper die and a second upper die. The control unit makes the unwrinkling force by the first holder stronger than that by the second holder, so that the steel sheet is press-worked by the second upper die and then by the first upper die.
Abstract:
A die cushion apparatus of a press machine in which a discharge opening of a fluid hydraulic pump/motor is directly connected to a pressure chamber on a cushion pressure production side of a fluid hydraulic cylinder and the torque of a rotating shaft of the fluid hydraulic pump/motor is controlled by an electric motor to control a pressure (die cushion pressure) of the pressure chamber on the cushion pressure production side. It is therefore possible to control the die cushion pressure with excellent responsiveness with respect to a die cushion pressure command and prevent occurrence of a surge pressure. The die cushion apparatus also has excellent energy efficiency since energy required for a die cushioning action that a cushion pad receives when effecting die cushioning of a press machine is regenerated as electrical energy through the fluid hydraulic cylinder, fluid hydraulic pump/motor, and electric motor.
