摘要: A method for identifying a variation factor portion of a springback amount, including: performing press forming analysis under first press forming conditions, and calculating a residual stress distribution in a press formed part; performing springback analysis on the press formed part, and calculating a first springback amount; performing press forming analysis under second press forming conditions, and calculating a residual stress distribution in the press formed part; replacing a value of residual stress in a partial area of the residual stress distribution; performing springback analysis on the press formed part for which the value of the residual stress has been replaced, and calculating a second springback amount; obtaining a difference between the second springback amount and the first springback amount; and identifying a portion in the press formed part that is a factor for variation in springback amount of the press formed part based on the obtained difference.

摘要: A die press-forms a tailor welded blank (12A) in a heated state, the tailor welded blank being formed by welding a first plate portion (34) made of a first metal plate material and a second plate portion (35) made of a second metal plate material thicker than the first metal plate material while making the first plate portion and the second plate portion abut against each other. The die includes a refrigerant passage through which a refrigerant flows, and at least one refrigerant ejection path (64) having one end connected to the refrigerant passage and the other end opening to a forming surface of the die (lower die 13). The die includes a first forming surface (51), and a second forming surface (52), farther apart from a forming surface of another die than the first forming surface (51), for forming a step (53) together with the first forming surface (51). The other end of the at least one refrigerant ejection path (64) opens near the step (53) on the second forming surface (52) between the first forming surface (51) and the second forming surface (52). It is possible to provide a die for hot press forming, which can perform quenching even for the step portion of the metal plate material and increase hardness.

摘要: A controlled thermal coefficient product manufacturing system and method is disclosed. The disclosed product relates to the manufacture of metallic material product (MMP) having a thermal expansion coefficient (TEC) in a predetermined range. The disclosed system and method provides for a first material deformation (FMD) of the MMP that comprises at least some of a first material phase (FMP) wherein the FMP comprises martensite randomly oriented and a first thermal expansion coefficient (FTC). In response to the FMD at least some of the FMP is oriented in at least one predetermined orientation. Subsequent to deformation, the MMP comprises a second thermal expansion coefficient (STC) that is within a predetermined range and wherein the thermal expansion of the MMP is in at least one predetermined direction. The MMP may be comprised of a second material phase (SMP) that may or may not transform to the FMP in response to the FMD.

摘要: The invention relates to a method for producing highly dimensionally accurate, deep-drawn half shells having a bottom region, a jacket and optionally having a flange, wherein a half shell pre-formed from a blank is formed into a finished half shell, wherein the pre-formed half shell has excess blank material on account of its geometrical shape, and the half shell being upset by way of at least one pressing operation in an upsetting tool to form the finished half shell during the forming of the pre-formed half shell into its finished shape on account of the excess blank material. The object of specifying a method and an apparatus, by way of which the process reliability can be increased during the production of a half shell, is achieved by way of the abovementioned method by virtue of the fact that the size of the upset gap is reduced during the closing of the upsetting tool to the actual wall thickness of the jacket of the pre-formed half shell. In addition, the object is achieved by way of an upsetting tool according to the invention by virtue of the fact that two side walls are provided which, together with the bottom region of the die of the second tool half, form a corresponding die, and the side walls can be displaced perpendicularly or obliquely with respect to the movement direction of the die.

摘要: A single action draw press and a draw die set for the single action draw are disclosed. The single action draw press and die include a bolster and a stationary punch. A cushion is assembled to the bolster to support a binder ring that is adapted to be engaged by a die attached to a press ram. The die is reciprocated by the press ram relative to the bolster while a mechanical lock engages the die and the binder ring. The die contacts the binder ring and a mechanical lock secures the die and binder ring together while the die draws a panel over the stationary punch.
