    摘要： An extruder machine for processing of plastic materials, rubber or polymers in which a stationary casing is provided with a generally tubular bore having an inlet opening near one end thereof, and a discharge opening at the other end thereof. A generally cylindrical rotor is rotatably mounted in the bore of the casing. The casing is comprised of a pair of generally coaxially aligned spaced apart cylindrical members, having a length substantially longer than their diameters. A heating or a cooling fluid is passed in the spacing between the cylindrical members in a heat transfer relationship. Each pair of cylindrical members is provided with expansion/contraction joints to permit longitudinal expansion or contraction of the components with respect to one another. An annular flexible bellows seal is biasedly disposed within the spacing between the outer cylinder and the inner cylinder in a fluid tight relationship between the two to prevent leakage of cooling or heating fluid therefrom during periods of extruder operation.

The two screws are structurally separable and may be operably independent of each other.     摘要： A screw-type extruder for plastic material has a cylindrical housing axially divided into two externally heated compartments provided at their upstream ends with a hopper and a venting aperture, respectively; at its downstream end each compartment terminates in a mobile housing section for adjustment of the back pressure prevailing therein and, consequently, of the flow rate of plastic mass discharged from the compartment. To equalize the two flow rates, a pair of hydraulic jacks serving to shift these mobile sections are controlled by respective regulators which respond to associated function generators and to the corresponding back pressure as measured just ahead of these mobile sections; the first function generator receives at its input the back pressure of the second compartment whereas the second function generator is adjusted to deliver a constant output dependent upon the desired flow rate at the extrusion nozzle and upon the speed of rotation of the screw.

    摘要： An extruder is shown having: cooled screw in the feeder section; rotation retarding means in the barrel of the feeder section in the form of open mouth axial grooves; the vertical arrangement of the extruder with the hopper immersing the cooled portion of the screw with inlet plastic such as flakes of scrap; an extension of the screw into the hopper agitating the flakes and housing water inlet to the feeder; a drive shank at the outlet end isolated by an internal air chamber from the heated extruder; the shank cooled by an inserted cooling member; a sealing member surrounding the shank defining a restricted passage that tapers and accommodates eccentricity; the stationary walls of the surrounding member are grooved, resisting outward leakage of the plastic. These various features are shown to enable feeding of difficult materials and scrap and to achieve a compact, simple, efficient machine.

    摘要： A screw press has a drainage cage section connected to a smaller solid cage section which forms the discharge end. A screw having interrupted flights extends within the cage sections and has its feed end connected to a drive and its discharge end rotatably supported by the solid cage section. A die plate is mounted on the discharge end of the cage adjacent the discharge end of the screw, and a pivotable housing supports a motor-driven cutter for movement between an operable position adjacent the die plate and a retracted position which permits convenient access to the cutter and die plate.
