摘要： An erasable coloring device includes erasable material upon which a user can color and guide indicia which a user uses to guide the user in coloring an area on the erasable material to be colored by the user. In several embodiments, such coloring device includes outline indicia permanently printed on the erasable material to outline areas to be colored by a user. Similar indicia is permanently printed with outline areas colored in to serve as the guide for a user coloring the outline indicia. The device can take the form of a coloring book wherein, when the book is open, the outline indicia appears on one page of the book and the similar indicia appears on the facing page so that a user can see both the outline indicia and the similar indicia simultaneously. Text can be included in the book as desired to explain the outline indicia or to tell a story where the outline indicia represents pictures connected with the story. The device can also take the form of posters, tray liners, place mats, greeting cards, games, and other items. The similar indicia can be positioned so it can be seen simultaneously with coloring the outline indicia, can be positioned on other surfaces of the material, or positioned separately from the material.

摘要： A device for communicating with a voice-disabled patient includes, generally, a housing having a display surface, indicia on the display surface that may be utilized by the patient to indicate the status and needs of the patient, and a marker that the patient may use to convey his or her status and needs to a third party. One embodiment includes a clipboard having two eraser-board surfaces and an erasable marker connectable to the clipboard. Another embodiment includes a lap-sized housing for a computer and a touch pad-activated screen. In both embodiments, the indicia includes a series of descriptive words and phrases indicating the status and needs of the patient, and graphical representations of anterior and posterior views of a human body with descriptive words correlating to common symptoms of specific parts of the body.

摘要： An apparatus and method for providing a luminescent display by applying pressure to a transparent planar sheet containing a luminescent dye or pigment where such pressure is sufficient to cause one smooth surface of the transparent sheet to contact a facing smooth surface of an opaque planar sheet, the smooth surfaces of the transparent and opaque sheets tending to adhere together at the area of contact, thereby creating a luminescent image at the area of contact which can be selectively erased by separating the smooth surfaces of the transparent and opaque sheets at the area of contact, and for allowing copying of the image by positioning a sheet of carbon paper between the opaque sheet and a sheet of plain paper so that the application of pressure to the transparent sheet causes pressure to be applied through the carbon paper to the sheet of plain paper, thereby copying the image displayed on the transparent sheet onto the sheet of plain paper, the carbon paper being selectively movable to allow segments of carbon paper which can produce images of different colors to be positioned between the opaque sheet and the sheet of plain paper during the drawing of an image to facilitate the production of a multi-colored copy of the displayed image, the apparatus allowing the use of different sizes and multiple sheets of plain paper and providing means for ejecting such paper from the apparatus.

摘要： A calendar frame for attachment to an upper freezer door of a refrigerator/freezer unit is disclosed. The calendar frame receives a calendar sheet and comprises a calendar cover configured for substantially covering the calendar sheet. The calendar cover has a transparent portion configured for viewing the calendar sheet therethrough. A writing surface is provided the calender cover which is adapted for erasably receiving a writing ink thereon. Magnetic calendar support means are attached to the calendar cover for magnetically attaching the calendar cover to the freezer door and for supporting the calendar sheet therebetween such that the calendar sheet is visible through the transparent portion of the calender cover. Erasable ink writings may be made on the calendar cover to correspond to date blocks on the calendar sheet, thereby allowing the same calendar sheet to be continuously reused.

摘要： A turn and tilt easel has a box base which has parallel and oppositely spaced sides and a bottom. The easel is attached to the base and is formed of upwardly extending members which are pivotally attached at one end midway along the length of the base. The easel is formed with first and second writing surfaces attached between and on each side of the upwardly extending members to form writing surfaces on each side. The writing surfaces are attached above the upper surface of the base by an amount which will permit the easel to rotate about the pivotal attachment at least fifteen degrees from the vertical or normal to the surface of the base. In the preferred embodiment, one writing surface will comprise a chalkboard, while the remaining side will comprise a dry-wipe board. A handle may be attached to the top of the easel for ease in transportation from one location to another. The base face can be used for storing writing material, such as "Magic Markers" for the dry-wipe board or chalk for the chalkboard.
