The A-Z Mark in the Middle! Tracing Tool is a set of alphabet letters in uppercase, that can be used in Special Education or even with the general population, to assist in the learning of their shapes by means of tracing the lines of the letter shapes. The letters will have an indentation in which a writing utensil will be placed, and the user will use that indentation to draw the letter. With the aid of this tool the user will be more successful in identifying letters and writing them, and consequently will display proper handwriting skills.

Handwriting learning apparatuses and associated methods that facilitate the ability of a user to learn how to correctly and/or preferably form at least one character are disclosed. In an aspect, handwriting learning apparatuses and associated methods of use are disclosed that comprise at least one substantially flat at least partially rigid medium within which one or more segments of one or more characters may be defined by one or more grooves. At least one protruding element may extend outwardly from at least one portion of at least one inner surface of the grooved character(s) at an angle such that when the user attempts to use an elongated insertion device to trace the grooved character segment(s), the insertion device may only slide in one single direction. This may help prevent users, such as children and other students, from forming characters incorrectly (e.g., writing them backwards) when they practice handwriting in an at least partially unsupervised setting, thereby minimizing the potential for bad writing habits to go unnoticed when handwritten characters may otherwise appear to have been formed correctly. Additionally, the at least one protruding element may be at least partially flexible so that, when the insertion device makes at least partial physical contact with at least one portion of the at least one protruding element, the at least one portion of the at least one protruding element may be temporarily displaced, thereby producing one or more sounds and/or vibrations that may be heard and/or felt by the user, respectively, thereby creating a multisensory learning experience for the user that may increase the user's ability to learn and retain one or more correct and/or preferred character formation techniques.

The motion learning support apparatus includes: motion detection unit to detect a motion of the learner and a motion information acquisition unit; an evaluation unit to evaluate similarity of a motion of the learner to a motion in the teaching-aid video segment; and first learning support processing unit to, when the evaluation unit evaluates that the motions are similar, switch the monitor from video taken with the imaging unit to a following teaching-aid video segment. The invention belongs to calligraphy hand-writing and drawing teaching field, and can be used for improvement of hand motility mastering, and at the same time it is directed at training of counting, hand-writing, drawing skills and other creative abilities development. The problem solved by the invention is in creation of method and complete set for calligraphy hand-writing and drawing teaching that is free from indicated imperfections and at the same time permit to develop spatial reasoning, imagination, hand motility and creative abilities. The problem is solved by the fact that, according to the invention, draw graphic element, figure or letter are written by a stencil, at first lines are transferred from a stencil to a paper, then a stencil is moved against a paper, then stencil lines are placed against lines obtained on a paper, and lines are again transferred from a stencil to a paper and after creating required composition or pattern on a paper the obtained drawing is colored. The problem is solved as well by the fact that the teaching kit is supplied with self copying paper and stencil with the lines of composition parts. There are another differences from prototype. The invention allow creative of method and complete set for calligraphy hand writing and drawing teaching that is free from indicated imperfections and at the same time permit to develop spatial reasoning, imagination, hand motility and creative abilities.

A computer-based system and method, and a computer readable medium containing computer software, for teaching a writing process to a plurality of users. A writing process component provides to a user a plurality of writing type options and receives from the user a writing type selection. The writing process component receives from the user a writing topic selection for the writing type selection and receives from the user a first draft about a writing topic selection. Guidance is provided to the user for self evaluating the first draft and the user is prompted to revise the first draft responsive to the user's self evaluation. The revised first draft about the selected topic is received from the user and the user is prompted to wait a predetermined period of time. The user is prompted to read aloud the revised first draft to a second person and to obtain feedback from the second person responsive to the reading aloud of the revised first draft. The user is prompted to prepare a final draft by revising the revised first draft responsive to the feedback obtained from the second person, and the final draft about the selected topic is received from the user and stored. A user management component is provided for managing a plurality of users.
