Abstract:
In a precision dial measuring instrument having a coil-spring shock-absorbing movable unit provided between a pinion and a coaxial gear wheel of the transmission step-up mechanism arranged between the movable indicating member and the feeler of the instrument, the transmission step-up mechanism further includes a system for taking up of play by preliminary elastic stress of its train gear wheels.
Abstract:
AN ANGULARLY ADJUSTABLE STEM IS PROVIDED FOR USE WITH DIAL INDICATORS AND THE LIKE. THE STEM INCLUDES A PAIR OF ARTICULATED TUBULAR SECTIONS EACH PROVIDED WITH A DRIVING ROD FORMED WITH RACK TEETH IN MESH WITH A PINION GEAR ROTATABLY MOUNTED IN THE HINGED PORTION OF THE TUBULAR SECTIONS. ONE TUBULAR SECTION IS FITTED TO THE DIAL INDICATOR WITH ITS ROD DRIVINGLY ENGAGING THE STEM OF THE INDICATOR.
THE OTHER TUBULAR SECTION MAY BE SET AT VARIOUS ANGULAR POSITIONS AND ITS ROD EMPLOYED TO ENGAGE THE WORK. THE DIAL INDICATOR MAY BE POSITIONED AT A SELECTED ANGLE ABOUT THE AXIS OF THE STEM.
Abstract:
A measurement method includes a step of measuring an object to be measured and a reference object by a first measurement unit and a second measurement unit. The first measurement unit has a first displacement meter and a second displacement meter that face each other in a first direction and measure the distance from the object to be measured. The second measurement unit has a third displacement meter and a fourth displacement meter that face each other in the first direction and measure the distance from the reference object. A frame-like supporting member includes a first frame portion supporting the first displacement meter and the third displacement meter, a second frame portion supporting the second displacement meter and the fourth displacement meter, and a third frame portion and a fourth frame portion that connect both end portions of the first frame portion and the second frame portion to each other.
