摘要: A tone signal generating apparatus comprises a waveform memory in which a plurality of waveform data representing different waveforms but corresponding to a same tone name are stored. These different waveform data are sequentially read from the memory and are supplied to a digital low-pass filter which comprises a delay circuit and a multiplier connected to each other to form a feedback loop. The low-pass filter smoothes abrupt variation of the waveform data and outputs a smoothed waveform data thereby interpolating the different waveforms. A tone signal is produced in accordance with this smoothed waveform data.

摘要: In an electronic keyboard musical instrument with a portamento or glissando play function, a touch response detector is arranged to detect a key touch response such as a depression speed or pressure of a key depressed on a keyboard. A musical tone generating device with a portamento or glissando play function is arranged to change a portamento or glissando time in response to the touch response of the depressed key.

摘要: A musical tone signal generator for an electronic musical instrument is constructed by a waveshape generator, a function generator and an interpolator. The waveshape generator successively generates adjacent two waveshapes of a plurality of different waveshapes which have been intermittently sampled in an actual produced tone. The function generator generates an interpolation function which is a function of time. The interpolator weights the adjacent two waveshapes in accordance with the interpolation function, combines the weighted two waveshapes and outputs the combined waveshape as a musical tone waveshape to be produced at a rate corresponding to a frequency of the musical tone waveshape. In the waveshape generator, the generation of next two adjacent waveshapes are performed when a value of the interpolation function has become equal to a predetermined value. As a result, it is made possible to obtain a good quality timewise spectrum change of the musical tone waveshape.

摘要: A keyboard operated electronic musical instrument with polyphonic portamento and glissando effects in which each key controls one of a number of tone generators through a table of frequency numbers. The frequency transitions are achieved by subtracting the frequency number of a new note from the frequency number controlling the current frequency of an assigned tone generator. A predetermined fraction of the difference is stored in increment registers and added successively to the frequency numbers of the current notes until these numbers are equal to the frequency number of the new note. The addition rate, which determines the frequency transition time, is adjustable by means of a variable frequency time clock. The assignment of the tone generators to the actuated keyswitches is accomplished in a manner which prevents objectionable frequency cross-over transitions even when the number of notes in successive chords is changed.

摘要: A musical sound playback method that is performed by a processor using data in a memory, including generating a plurality of interpolated data where input data for a segment corresponding to musical sounds has been interpolated, based on values in the input data which are related to both the segment corresponding to the musical sounds and a change amount of the musical sounds, generating a plurality of instruction data for providing instructions regarding musical sound states to be achieved at a plurality of timings in the segment, based on the plurality of interpolated data, and sequentially transmitting the plurality of instruction data to a sound source circuit so as to cause the sound source circuit to generate the musical sounds while sequentially changing the musical sounds to be in the musical sound states instructed by the instruction data, when a musical sound playback for the segment is performed.

摘要: Some audio processing methods may involve receiving audio data corresponding to a plurality of audio channels and determining audio characteristics of the audio data, which may include transient information. An amount of decorrelation for the audio data may be based, at least in part, on the audio characteristics. If a definite transient event is determined, a decorrelation process may be temporarily halted or slowed. Determining transient information may involve evaluating the likelihood and/or the severity of a transient event. In some implementations, determining transient information may involve evaluating a temporal power variation in the audio data. Explicit transient information may or may not be received with the audio data, depending on the implementation. Explicit transient information may include a transient control value corresponding to a definite transient event, a definite non-transient event or an intermediate transient control value.

摘要: A desired character train included in a predefined reference character train, such as lyrics, is set as a target character train, and a user designates a target phoneme train that is indirectly representative of the target character train by use of a limited plurality of kinds of particular phonemes, such as vowels and a particular consonants. A reference phoneme train indirectly representative of the reference character train by use of the particular phonemes is prepared in advance. Based on a comparison between the target phoneme train and the reference phoneme train, a sequence of the particular phonemes in the reference phoneme train that matches the target phoneme train is identified, and a character sequence in the reference character train that corresponds to the identified sequence of the particular phonemes is identified. The thus-identified character sequence estimates the target character train.
