    摘要: In the case where an automatic reading file composed of plural kinds of detailed parameters stored in a transportable storage device whose attachment is detected has been already read in an apparatus, it is determined whether update, to a currently-read automatic reading file, of an automatic reading file stored in a storage section is carried out or not in accordance with a user's instruction, and is controlled so as to carry out a process. Namely, in the case where an automatic reading file has not been read yet, the automatic reading file stored in the storage section is updated to the currently-read automatic reading file without any condition. On the other hand, if an automatic reading file has been already read, the automatic reading file stored in the storage section may be edited on the basis of it.

    摘要: User is allowed to designate a desired mode defining the respective numbers of channels and mixing buses, and processing for mixing input signals of the number of channels corresponding to the designated mode is performed repetitively to generate signals for the individual buses. The time of arrival of the last step in the mixing processing for the number of channels, corresponding to the designated mode, is detected to output an accumulation result obtained at the last step, and new accumulation is started with a digital audio signal inputted at a step following the last step. Digital audio signals processed by a first signal processing circuit are stored into a memory and transmitted to a second signal processing circuit via a cascade-connection. The second signal processing circuit adds the audio signal, processed for each of the steps, to audio signals input via the cascade-connection and writes added signal into the memory.

A first control knob can be moved over a predetermined operating range in which a plurality of predetermined positions are discretely defined. The plurality of sets of prepared parameters are respectively assigned to the plurality of predetermined positions. When a current operating position of the first control knob is positioned between any two adjacent positions of the plurality of predetermined positions, two sets of prepared parameters are read out from the parameter memory in accordance with the two adjacent positions corresponding to the current operating position of the first control knob, and the read-out two sets of prepared parameters are interpolated in accordance with the current operating position of the first control knob to obtain one set of interpolated parameters. The input signal is subjected to the signal processing using one set of interpolated parameters.

    摘要: Basic tone waveform corresponding to a designated tone color and pitch is generated in each of a plurality of channels. Effect is imparted to the basic tone waveform in accordance with an algorithm for providing a predetermined effect, independently for each of the channels. The effect to be imparted is controlled in accordance with the designated tone pitch, separately for each of the channels. The effect impartment may be conducted using a processor, such as a DSP, executing a predetermined program containing a predetermined effect-imparting algorithm. In one example of the effect-imparting algorithm, a delay loop is employed through which an input exciting signal is circulated while being delayed, and an effect specific to an electromagnetic pickup of an electric guitar can be approximated by controlling the delay amount in the delay loop. In another example of the effect-imparting algorithm, a ransom signal is generated to control a cutoff frequency on the basis of the random signal, the basic tone waveform is filtered in accordance with the thus-controlled cutoff frequency, and the resultant filtered tone waveform is circulated through a delay loop whose delay amount is controlled in accordance with the designated tone pitch.

    摘要: A parameter setting apparatus is provided in an electronic music instrument for editing a configure of parameters in accordance with a manipulation amount to set a tone generator which creates a desired timbre of musical tones upon setting. In the apparatus, a first memory device stores a first subset of parameters containing a Boolean parameter having a first Boolean value and a numerical parameter having a first numerical value. A second memory device stores a second subset of parameters containing the Boolean parameter having a second Boolean value and the numerical parameter having a second numerical value. An operating device provides a manipulation amount for editing parameters. An interpolating device interpolates the first numerical value and the second numerical value in accordance with the manipulation amount to determine an edited numerical value of the numerical parameter. A selecting device selects one of the first Boolean value and the second Boolean value in accordance with the manipulation amount to determine an edited Boolean value of the Boolean parameter. A setting device configure the tone generator with the set of parameters containing the numerical parameter having the edited numerical value and the Boolean parameter having the edited Boolean value.

    摘要: An acoustic wind instrument having a conical tube is simulated by two cylindrical tubes communicated to each other at each one end. A parallel connection of electrical signal transmission lines, each simulating a cylindrical tube constitute a synthesizer synthesizing the sound of the conical acoustic wind instrument. Each signal transmission line includes a shift register for giving a delay to the input signal, a multiplier for simulating sound reflection, and a filter for affording a tone color. An exciting signal is injected at the interconnection of the parallel connection through a junction circuit.

A number of time-varying signal processing circuits are presented.     摘要: An engine exhaust sound synthesizer is fundamentally configured by an exhaust waveform creating unit and an exhaust pipe circuit. The exhaust waveform creating unit creates an exhaust waveform signal based on accel information and engine speed information. Herein, the accel information is subjected to non-linear conversion, representing relationship between an amount of manipulation of an accel manipulator and an engine output, so that an engine output signal is produced. A plurality of exhaust waveforms are stored in advance; hence, one of them is selected based on the engine speed information and engine output signal. Then, the exhaust waveform selected is combined together with the engine output signal so that the exhaust waveform signal is created. The exhaust pipe circuit, simulating behavior of air-pressure waves propagating through pipes of an exhaust system, is designed similar to a waveguide-type circuit which is configured by delay circuits and junctions. So, the exhaust pipe circuit imparts a simulated exhaust-pipe characteristic to the exhaust waveform signal so as to produce the exhaust sound signal representing synthesized exhaust sound of an engine. By controlling the amount of manipulation of the accel manipulator, it is possible to provide realistic exhaust sound, with a high live-audio effect, whose characteristic closely follows behavior of an exhaust action of an actual engine.
