The stream is cut at a first time point of the stream, producing a first cut A cutting the stream into a first stream and a second stream, whereby each tone which extends across the first cut, is cut into a first part Ta which is in the first stream and a second part Tb which is in the second stream. For each of the tones extending across the first cut, a respective memory space is allocated to each of the first part and the second part, each of the memory spaces storing an original state of the tone. The method further includes determining a reference point for the set of MIDI events based on a function of the set of MIDI events, adjusting a position of the reference point toward the target grid position, determining a proportional movement for each MIDI event on the timeline based on its location relative to the adjusted reference point, and adjusting each MIDI event based on the determined proportional movement. The function of the set of MIDI events can be a weighted average based on one or more MIDI characteristics of the set of MIDI events.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a computer implemented system and method for generating an audio output file. The method including using one or more processors to perform steps of: receiving audio tracks, each audio track created according to audio parameters; separating each audio track into at least one selectable audio block, each audio block including audio content from a musical instrument involved in creating the audio track; assigning a unique identifier to each audio block; using the unique identifiers to select audio blocks, and generating the audio output by combining the audio blocks. The present invention prevents the use of the same combination of audio blocks in the generation of audio output to ensure that the audio output files generated a sufficiently unique. Also provided are audio file recording, editing and mixing modules enabling a user to have full creative control over mix and other parameters to modify as desired the audio file generated.

In some embodiments, an audio sample can be selected based on the excitation state of an instrument. A musical stimulus can be received, and a current excitation level associated with previously received musical stimuli calculated. An audio sample can be selected for playback using the current excitation level. In some embodiments, audio samples having different velocity levels can be selected in response to repeated musical stimuli. A first instance of a musical stimulus having a first velocity level can be received, and a first audio sample corresponding to the first velocity level played back. A second instance of the musical stimulus having the first velocity level can be received, and a second audio sample corresponding to a second velocity level can be selected for playback. The first and second audio samples can have different audio characteristics.
