    摘要: An antenna device includes a ground plane, an antenna element, and a metal wall. The antenna element is having a distance of (m×λ/2-λ/4) away from the ground plane, where “m” is an integer which is equal or larger than “1” and “λ” is a wave length of operating frequency. The metal wall is surrounding the antenna element. One end of the metal wall is attached to along the ground plane. The other end of the metal wall is forming an aperture with a height from the ground plane. The height of the metal wall is (n×λ/2), where “n” is an integer which is equal or larger than “m”.

    摘要: A behind-the-wall antenna system according to the present invention comprises: a wall; a converging reflector (corner reflector) which reflects radio waves so as to form a region behind the wall in which the electric field strength is great; an antenna arranged in the region between the wall and the converging reflector in which the electric field strength is greater than that in the surroundings; and a transmission path connected to the antenna. A resonance space is formed between the front face of the wall and the converging reflector. Furthermore, the distance between the wall and the reflector is adjusted so as to create an impedance matching state between the antenna and the space on the front side of the wall. With such an arrangement, the radio waves are directly used behind the wall.

    摘要: An antenna directivity enhancer to enhance the directivity of an antenna is disclosed. The enhancer has a 3-dimensional structure in a predefined 3-dimensional shape when operating to enhance the directivity of an antenna. The 3-dimensional structure can be flexibly collapsible into 2-dimensional flat surfaces, with at least two of the surfaces not required to have any space between them when the structure is collapsed. The direction where the directivity is enhanced can be changed as desired. The enhancer can include just one reflecting surface, or at least two reflecting surfaces. In yet another embodiment, the enhancer includes a curved surface when the enhancer is in its predefined 3-dimensional shape.

    摘要: An antenna assembly includes a common reflector and multiple monopole type antenna elements positioned on a ground plane and fed with a switch assembly. The switch assembly is capable of feeding individual antennas as well as combining multiple antennas for improved radiation pattern coverage. Multiple antenna elements are placed around the common reflector to cover sectors of space around the antenna assembly to provide transmission and reception of radio frequency (RF) signals for mobile communication devices in a wireless network. The ground plane can be grounded or capacitively coupled to an existing circuit board or metal surface, allowing for reduced ground plane dimensions.

    摘要: An antenna apparatus is installed in a base station in a code division multiple access communication system. The antenna apparatus comprises a plurality of antenna elements, each receiving a radio signal; a controller that produces an antenna control signal based on information contained in the radio signal received at each of the antenna elements; an adjusting unit that adjusts directivity characteristics of each of the antenna elements based on the antenna control signal; and an allocating unit that allocates the antenna elements to sectors based on the antenna control signal. The sector covers a portion of a cell controlled by the base station, and the number of sectors in the cell is variable by means of the antenna control signal.
