摘要: A portable information system having an information registration function achieves reduction in manufacturing cost and power consumption. By connecting portable information equipment (1) and a battery charger (10) to be chargeable, signal transmission becomes possible between a micro controller (2) in the portable information equipment (1) and a micro controller (11) in the battery charger (10). Under the control of the micro controllers (2, 11), information management operation is automatically performed during charging. The operation includes backup processing in which personal information stored in a storage portion (3) in the portable information equipment (1) is transferred to a storage portion (12) in the battery charger (10) as backup information, and restore processing in which the backup information stored in the storage portion (12) is transferred to the storage portion (3) as the personal information.

摘要: A method of changing the code of a radio communication system having a main unit and at least one remote unit is provided. The method generally includes in an embodiment the step of setting the code transmission frequency of the main unit of the radio communication system at a value within a frequency gap separating a first channel from a second channel of the main unit. The method also includes the step of setting the code transmission frequency of the remote unit at a value within a frequency gap separating a first channel from a second channel of that remote unit. The method further includes the step of selecting a code for encoding communication signals between the main and remote units and transmitting the selected code from one of the main and remote units to the other at the code transmission frequency.

摘要: A cordless telephone system registers a portable unit with a fixed unit by using both wire and wireless links, wherein the portable and fixed units have their own ID numbers. The fixed unit transmits an ID number for the fixed unit, itself, to the portable unit via the wire link, upon receiving registration key data input by a user. Then, the portable unit transmits the received ID number for the fixed unit to the fixed unit together with an ID number for the portable unit, itself, via the wireless link. Upon receiving the ID number for the fixed unit, the fixed unit compares it with an ID number previously stored therein, to register therein the ID number for the portable unit received together with the ID number for the fixed unit, if the previously stored ID number for the fixed unit is identical to the received ID number for the fixed unit.

摘要: A method of generating a random number is disclosed for forming an identification code used for mutual identification between a base station and a mobile telephone. The method includes receiving a radio signal by the base station or the mobile telephone; performing time intervals measurements separating passages of the radio signal through a reference level; and forming the random number from the time intervals measurements.

摘要: A method for voice-based affiliation of an operator identification code to a communication unit (101) is accomplished when the communication unit transmits a voice-based affiliation request, a predetermined voice pattern and a communication unit identification code, to a communication resource allocator (103). Upon reception of the voice-based affiliation request, the communication resource allocator compares stored predetermined voice patterns with the predetermined voice pattern to identify a matching predetermined voice pattern. When the matching predetermined voice pattern is identified, the communication resource allocator affiliates the operator identification code with the communication unit identification code, thus affiliating the operator identification code with the communication unit.

摘要: An improved communication system (10) includes a plurality of transceivers (A, B, C, D, etc.) adapted to communicate with one another via a common communication path. Each transceiver has its own unique identity code. The invention provides a cable (11) for temporarily enabling the mutual exchanging of identity codes between only two of the transceivers so as to establish a dedicated pair. Each transceiver has memory (12) for receiving and storing the identity code of the other transceiver of the pair, and for purging any previously-stored identity code. Each transceiver is arranged to identify all communications transmitted by it as having originated from it, and as being addressed to the other transceiver of the pair. Each transceiver is also arranged to accept communications only if addressed to it and if identified as having originated from the other transceiver of the pair.
