To enable the mobile station to detect a signal transmitted from a base station, and to establish synchronization to the signal in a mobile communication system in which a synchronization channel is multiplexed periodically into the downlink signal, the mobile station averages, in phase and in complex numbers, correlation values of the synchronization channel over a plurality of periods, followed by detecting the power of them to carrying out peak detection.

    摘要: A road side communication equipment is provided crossing over lanes of an expressway, so that a communication processing for toll collection is executed between the road side equipment and an on-board equipment passing a communication area. The road side equipment sends signals using a 32-bit synchronizing signal for the start slot of each frame and a 16-bit synchronizing signal for subsequent slots of the frame. The on-board equipment receives this to perform signal receiving processing. The received communication signals are then digital-demodulated and entered to a shift register, so that the bit pattern is compared in two comparators to detect the synchronizing signal. According to the output from AND circuits, the synchronizing signal is distinguished from the synchronizing signal to determine the received data and receive subsequent data.

    摘要: The invention provides a transmission timing measuring apparatus for accurately measuring the transmission timing between channels of a base station and a mobile station in, e.g., a system using a digital time-division modulation scheme in which the base station and the mobile station perform communication using different frequencies. In the transmission timing measuring apparatus of the invention, reference and measurement channel signals having different frequencies are converted into digital data by a signal processing section (20) and are selectively output. A data write section (6) temporarily stores each data in a pre-assigned memory area in a memory section (15) by using an accurate clock. A data read section (7) reads out each data from the memory area on the basis of the reference channel. A transmission timing calculating section (10) calculates the transmission timing from the time difference between symbol sequence data read out from the memory section (15). In this manner, the transmission timing measuring apparatus of the invention can obtain an accurate measurement value of the transmission timing without being influenced by a delay caused by the response characteristics of individual internal circuit elements in a demodulation process.

    摘要: For a radio communications system with time-divided frequencies, the synchronization between a base station and a mobile station is shifted as the mobile moves. The base station transmits symbol sequences with synchronization words to the mobile, which through this obtains a reference point in time. The mobile transmits to the base station symbol sequences with synchronization words, which in the mobile may be displaced in time relative to the reference point in time. The base station generates a reception point in time for the symbol sequences from the mobile by correlation and filtering. The reception point in time is compared with the reference point in time and upon a mutual deviation, a time deviation is generated for the base station. This time deviation is added to a previous time shift in the mobile. A new value for the time shift in the mobile is sent with an adjustment order and the mobile adjusts its transmission point in time relative to the reference point in time by means of the adjustment order. In order to increase the probability that the mobile detects the adjustment order, this order is repeated a number of times. If the reception point in time after this remains unchanged, a resynchronization is ordered, or as an alternative, a release of the connection. Disturbances to the radio connection due to deficient synchronization or frequently recurring resynchronization are reduced.
