    摘要: A rotary cutter device has a rotator having a rotary blade including a first blade edge part, and a holding body having a fixed blade including a second blade edge part. The first blade edge part and the second blade edge part are rubbed with each other so as to cut. A rotation-side separating member is brought into contact with the cut object in which a cut portion of the cut object adheres to the first blade edge part and rotating together with the rotary blade from inside in the radial direction and applying a reaction force to the outside. A fixed-side separating member is fixed so as to be located outside a rotation range of the first blade edge part, and is brought into contact with the cut object from outside in the radial direction and constrains movement of the cut object to the outside.

    摘要: It is intended to improve work efficiency by eliminating the work of attaching and removing push rods during installing and dismounting the a blade mount and also to reduce abrasion of the push rods for pushing punching scrap out of a punching blade. The first push rods 18 are inserted movably in the first through-holes 16 formed in the knife cylinder and the second push rods 36 are inserted movably in the second through-holes 34 formed in the blade mount to permit the second push rods 36 to be abutted on the first push rods 18. A scrap push lever 30 is mounted on the outer end of the second push rod 36 to push out the punching scrap a and an eccentric cylinder 14 is provided inside of the knife cylinder 10 to push the first push rod 18 outward when pushing out the punching scrap a. The stroke of the first push rod 18 is controlled so that the outer end 18a of the first push rod 18 does not project from the outer periphery 10a of the knife cylinder. The first push rod 18 and the second push rod 36 are preferably made from one of self-lubricating resin and abrasion-resistant material.

    摘要: A method of making a pair of rotary die cylinders with lands having coacting cutting edges which cut blanks from a web of material passing through the nip of the rotating dies. In cross section each land has an outer face and a pair of spaced apart side faces which are parallel to each other and perpendicular to the chord of the outer face to provide a clean cut and facilitate release of the cut blank from the cutting blades as it emerges from the nip of the dies. The die cylinders are journalled for rotation by recesses with frusto conical locating surfaces in their opposed ends. Each die cylinder is made by machining the recesses in the opposed ends of a generally cylindrical workpiece of tool steel and then utilizing the recesses to locate and orient the workpiece relative to a cutting tool to produce a cylindrical surface on the workpiece concentric with the axis of the recesses and then to machine away portions of the periphery of the cylindrical surface to form the cutting blade lands thereon. After machining is completed the cutting blade lands may be hardened by heat treating utilizing a laser beam directed onto the lands to heat them at an elevated temperature so that upon quenching they are hardened without any substantial hardening and resulting distortion of the core or body of the workpiece.

    摘要: A variable rotary cutter assembly for transverse cutting of web material as it passes between rotating anvil and knife cylinders includes one or more cutter assemblies selectively positionable on the periphery of the knife cylinder. Various embodiments of the cutter assembly include a pair of pivotally connected block members adapted for releasable mounting on the knife cylinder and carrying an elongated knife blade which is biased outwardly by spring means about a pivot axis parallel to and spaced from the knife blade. The spring means enable a precise predetermined cutting pressure per unit length of the knife blade to be established against the anvil cylinder while enabling self-adjusting movement of the knife blade to accommodate substantial variance in anvil and knife cylinder spacing and knife blade wear. The cutter assemblies may be mounted to effect single or double transverse web cuts, and stripper means are provided to remove trim strips cut from the web by pairs of knife blades.

    摘要: A punch for a cutting die is provided for forming holes in corrugated board or the like. The hole punch includes a tubular metal member of circular transverse cross section having one end substantially flush with the back surface of a die plate in which it is mounted and the other end extending beyond the front surface of the die plate and terminating in a circular cutting edge. A body of resilient material, preferably molded rubber, is located within the cylindrical member and has one end terminating near the back end of the tubular member and another end terminating near the cutting edge of the tubular member. The purpose of the body is to eject and strip the scrap of corrugated board from the punch and from the rest of the blank being formed by the cutting die. The resilient body has a central, cylindrical recess at one end which enables the resilient material to be deformed inwardly when engaging a corrugated board being cut by the circular cutting edge. The other end of the resilient body is closed off which enables the body to be more easily inserted in the tubular metal member. This end is also chamfered which increases the life of the resilient body.
