    摘要: It is intended to improve work efficiency by eliminating the work of attaching and removing push rods during installing and dismounting the a blade mount and also to reduce abrasion of the push rods for pushing punching scrap out of a punching blade. The first push rods 18 are inserted movably in the first through-holes 16 formed in the knife cylinder and the second push rods 36 are inserted movably in the second through-holes 34 formed in the blade mount to permit the second push rods 36 to be abutted on the first push rods 18. A scrap push lever 30 is mounted on the outer end of the second push rod 36 to push out the punching scrap a and an eccentric cylinder 14 is provided inside of the knife cylinder 10 to push the first push rod 18 outward when pushing out the punching scrap a. The stroke of the first push rod 18 is controlled so that the outer end 18a of the first push rod 18 does not project from the outer periphery 10a of the knife cylinder. The first push rod 18 and the second push rod 36 are preferably made from one of self-lubricating resin and abrasion-resistant material.

    摘要: A scrap knockout for use with a rotary punching apparatus includes a knife cylinder equipped with punch blades on the outer peripheral surface, and an anvil cylinder having a layer against which the blades are pressed, so as to punch a workpiece fed in between the two rotating cylinders. The scrap knockout is so arranged that each of the punch blades is formed with a cut or slot, and a scrap knockout lever is engaged with the cut or slot so as to be restricted in its upward and downward movements, with one end of the knockout lever is a free end located in the space surrounded by the punch blade and the other end is pivotally held by a punch blade support, so that the scrap formed by the punching can be removed by the upward motion of the lever.

    摘要: A punch assembly is provided with a positive retraction mechanism to remove the punch from the media to be punched, thereby preventing binding of the punch in the media. The punch assembly includes a driving mechanism to provide a driving force on the punch and a positive retraction mechanism disposed to provide a retraction force on the punch operative sequentially following operation of the driving mechanism. The punch assembly, which is of a smaller size and more economical to manufacture, is particularly useful with an imagesetter of a prepress printing system. The punch may be mounted in a cantilever manner to punch the opening as close to the edge of the media as possible without interfering with the laser beam of the imaging assembly. In this maimer, the area of media available for imaging may be maximized and media waste minimized. Additionally, a shaft support mechanism is provided for the shaft upon which the retraction mechanism for each punch is mounted. When the punches advance into the media, an oppositely directed force is placed on the shaft. The shaft support mechanism supports the shaft when it is so loaded by the punches, thereby minimizing deflection of the shaft and allowing use of a smaller diameter shaft. Other equipment, such as take-up rollers which are used to transfer the media may also be fixed to the punch assembly. Similarly, a cutter assembly which cuts sheets of the media may also be fixed to the punch assembly.

    摘要: A hydraulically actuated ejector mechanism is mounted on a press bed and includes a pair of opposed cams connected to the press slide for vertical displacement therewith. The cams actuate corresponding followers in the form of hydraulic pistons which operate together to hydraulically displace an ejector member during upward movement of the slide following a metalworking operation. The cam contours enable timing the ejector pin displacement with the press slide stroke so as to achieve optimum acceleration and deceleration of the stroke of the ejector pin.
