摘要： A retractor having a clamp is provided for use in a seat belt system. The retractor comprises a base, a take-up spindle rotatably supported on the base, a webbing wound on the take-up spindle, a clamp movement limiting member, a holding mechanism for holding the clamp movement limiting member on a base via a plastically deformable member, the clamp movable between a first position where the clamp holds the webbing between itself and the clamp movement limiting member and a second position wherein the clamp permits free passing of the webbing, a transmitting member for bringing the clamp from the second position to the first position in response to rotation of the take-up spindle in a webbing releasing direction, and a connecting member for releasably connecting the transmitting member to the take-up spindle. When the clamp is brought to the first position by the transmitting member and a pulling force of at least a predetermined value is then applied to the webbing, the plastically deformable member undergoes deformation while maintaining a webbing clamping force, thereby permitting movement of the clamp movement limiting member in the webbing releasing direction.

摘要： A retractor for a seat belt includes a retractor base, a bobbin fixed to a winding shaft rotatably supported to the retractor base for winding a webbing, and a webbing guide having a first positioning portion located on the side of the bobbin and a second positioning portion located on the side of the upper end of the retractor base. The webbing guide is fixed to the retractor base for regulating a webbing moving path so that the webbing wound around the bobbin is drawn out from a prescribed position on said retractor base. The first and second positioning portions each has a protrusion portion provided with a plurality of protrusions abutting on the surface of said webbing and the surface of each protrusion abutting on said webbing forms a smooth bending face. The retractor provides a small change in the contact resistance between the webbing and the webbing guide positioning the webbing in a retractor base and can maintain smoothness of the draw-out and winding operations of the webbing, so that it is effective to improve the reliability of the draw-out and winding operations in the retractor and also general versatility of the retractor.

摘要： An object of the invention is to provide at low manufacturing cost a clamp-operated retractor including an emergency locking mechanism adapted to lock the rotation of the winding shaft in the webbing pull-out direction in an emergency such as a collision, in which a webbing clamping mechanism is simple in structure, and is able to quickly stop the webbing from being pulled out. 摘要： This invention relates to a safety belt system for vehicles comprising a belt retractor 10 and a webbing clamping mechanisms 12 arranged downstream of the retractor 10 and having two clamping wedges 46 and 48 which are arranged opposite each other in a housing on either side of the webbing. When the slide faces 54, 56 bear on the support surfaces 42, 44 the clamping faces 50, 52 of the clamping wedges 46, 48 form an angle of about one degree with each other which is open in the direction G of the belt withdrawal. Holding devices 402, 404; 410, 414 are provided for holding said clamping wedges 46, 48 in said rest position with their slide faces 54, 56 inclined to said support surfaces 42, 44 and their clamping faces parallel to the webbing. The holding devices become ineffective under load so that the slide faces 54, 56 make a surface contact with said support surfaces 42, 44 and the clamping faces 50, 52 form an angle of about one degree with each other which is open in the direction (G) of belt withdrawal.

摘要： A preloader adapted to forcibly pull a webbing in a taking-up direction when the vehicle suddenly decelerates, so as to allow the webbing to be applied closely around an occupant. A clamp member for clamping the webbing is provided to prevent a subsequent tight winding of the webbing. The clamp member is constantly urged in a webbing-clamping direction by an urging member, and is normally held in a position spaced apart from the webbing against an urging force of the urging member. As the holding is canceled after the forcible taking up of the webbing, the clamp member is capable of clamping the webbing.

摘要： Disclosed is a seat belt retractor in which first and second locking members 14, 16 are engaged with a ratchet wheel 13 independently of each other via a link member 18 when sudden acceleration is sensed. Owing to this engagement between the first and second locking members 14, 16 and the ratchet wheel 13, first emergency locking means 15 locks a reel shaft 11 against rotation while second emergency locking means 17 locks a seat belt 12. Accordingly, the first emergency locking means 15 and second emergency locking means 17 operate independently of each other, and it is possible to readily adjust the timing at which the reel shaft is locked against rotation and the timing at which the seat belt is locked by being clamped.
