    摘要: An apparatus for continuously aspirating a fluid from a fluid source. A vacuum source is operatively connected to a first container forming a first chamber and a second container forming a second chamber. A fluid collection tube provides communication between the fluid source and each of the first chamber and the second chamber. A first level sensor is positioned within the first chamber and a second level sensor is positioned within the second chamber. Upon receiving a signal generated by one of the first level sensor and the second level sensor, a relay responsively exposes a vacuum within one of the first chamber and the second chamber to continuously aspirate at least a portion of the fluid from the fluid source. A shut-off valve is preferably positioned within each of the first chamber and the second chamber to prevent communication between the vacuum source and the corresponding chamber with a fluid level within the chamber at a fluid level setpoint.

    摘要: A process and apparatus for the transfer out of a tight enclosure of a fluid solution contained in a polluted container (R1). The transfer is accomplished without removing the polluted container from the enclosure and without breaking the seal of the polluted container. After a clean container (R2) is placed in a receptacle (30) normally isolated from the remainder of the enclosure, the solution is transferred into the clean container (R2) vacuum by a needle. Transfer of the clean container out of the enclosure takes place pneumatically following rotation of a casing containing the receptacle.

    摘要: A needle valve comprises a valve body including a conduit portion through which a flow passage is formed and a bonnet portion which screws into a cylindrical well formed in one side of the conduit portion to intersect the flow passage and form a valve chamber within the valve body. The bonnet portion is bored through to support a valve stem upon which is mounted a frusto-conical member, the valve stem and the bore through the bonnet portion being threaded for movement of the frusto-conical member transversly across the flow passage via turning the valve stem. A tubular liner, formed of a flexible material, extends around the periphery of the valve chamber and is split into two semi-cylindrical sections which receive the frusto-conical member and are spread thereby against portions of the valve chamber wall pierced by the flow passage as the frusto-conical member is seated in the liner. Tabs are formed on the bottoms of the liner to extend into a slot formed in the bottom of the valve chamber to prevent rotation of the liner without interfering with the spreading of the liner to seal the valve against flow through the flow passage.

    摘要: This invention is a dripless vacuum nozzle for use in an apparatus for vacuum packaging articles in flexible pouches or bags. The neck of a filled bag is placed around the barrel of the nozzle, and downward movement of the barrel clamps the bag neck between the barrel and a plunger located in and below the opening to the barrel. The bag remains in this clamped position as it is evacuated completely afterwhich it is sealed and severed from the clamp. A pivotally operated ball valve, drip collection cup, and ball check valve prevent any moisture from dripping into the package while it is being evacuated.

    摘要: A rotary acting filler machine for containers such as bottles includes a series of vertically reciprocable filling nozzles adapted to be moved under the control of cam means between raised, inoperative positions to a container with the lower end or tip of the nozzle above the upper end thereof and lowered, operative positions thereto with the tip of the nozzle projecting axially within the container. The upper limit of movement of the nozzles in the filler is controlled by a main plate-type cam which is vertically adjustable in the filler whereby to permit containers of varying overall heights to be accommodated for filling action in the filler without obstruction from the nozzles at the same time while permitting the nozzles to be brought rapidly into filling positions to the containers to attain maximum production output in the filler for any particular type of container. The axial penetration of the nozzles into the containers is controlled by a secondary cam means in the form of a ring which is also vertically adjustable in the filler so as to permit the axial position of the nozzles in the containers being filled in any particular operating run of the filler to be regulated in a manner as will provide a rapid, accurate filling of such containers.
