摘要： A poleshaped supporting member (1) having a tubular cross-section, and a base structure (2) for attachment of same, said poleshaped member (1) having a conically tapering cross-section in direction from the ground plane, said base structure (2) including an attachment member (3) having a conicity and external shape which substantially corresponds to the internal larger portion of the poleshaped member (1). By means of at least one clamping member surrounding the poleshaped member (1), located at the portion embracing the attachment member (3), said portion can be pressed into frictional contact against the attachment member (3). At both the upper portion of the attachment member (3), and the larger portion of the poleshaped member (1), electrical connecting members (5, 6) are arranged, joined to a voltage feeding cable (4) respectively a cable (7) surrounded by the poleshaped member (1), connected to a directly or indirectly suspended electrical fitting. The connecting members (5, 6) are preferably arranged to facilitate jack connection against each other, and advantageously is a fuse means (8) arranged in an intermediate position between a first connecting member (5) located by the attachment member (3) and associated electric feed cable (4).

摘要： A changeable sign is disclosed which is adapted for use as a changeable highway sign located along a highway and which is capable of visually displaying to a motorist travelling in a vehicle along the highway any one of several predetermined driving messages. Additionally, a changeable highway sign system which incorporates a changeable highway sign is disclosed wherein the system includes a remotely located central station for selectively controlling changeable highway signs to continually inform the motorists of current speed limits, driving conditions and the like associated with the particular portion of the highway over which the motorists is traversing. The changeable highway sign and system, as disclosed herein, are adapted to include a motorist voice communication system to permit a motorist to communicate with a dispatcher at a central station.

摘要： A marker light is a device that provides referential pivoting and precision boundary marking required for parking or docking articulate vehicles during poor visibility conditions. The marker consists of 12 primary features, an upper shell housing, a sealed circular window for white light passage, a sealed slotted window for laser light passage, internal reinforcement, a white up light, a laser beam transform lens, a laser beam source, a rechargeable battery pack, a recharging port, a wiring harness, a lower base plate, and an on/off switch. The up light pinpoints substantially the optimum pivot location during the parking or docking process. The developed laser plane—resulting from the laser beam passing through the transform lens—enables two marking orientations for the driver from one continuous laser impingement curve. From a top view perspective, orientation 1 marks parallel on the ground for aligning the trailer while orientation 2 marks perpendicular to the vertical dock wall.

摘要： A retractable, reflective pavement marker for delineating traffic lanes of roadways and a method of installing the same that provides improved protection from potentially damaging vehicle tires, snowplows, and environmental conditions. The marker incorporates a reflector assembly mounted to a piston that is depressible within a housing. A biasing means returns the reflector assembly to its normal position above the road surface. A compliant adhesive cooperates with an adhesive lock formed between the housing and the opening to ensure that the marker is reliably retained within the pavement. The adhesive and a chamfered opening prevent pavement spalling due to external forces. The housing includes a removable retainer through which the piston is reciprocally received. The retainer includes a plurality of coarsely pitched lead-in threads that cooperate with a threaded housing. Multiple lead-in threads provide sufficient thread engagement, while substantially decreasing the number of rotations to achieve full engagement.
