摘要： A record confirmation apparatus comprises a recording device for recording information on a disc-like record bearing member rotated at a predetermined angular speed, in accordance with a writing signal, a reproducing device disposed at a predetermined distance from the recording device in the tangential direction of the record bearing member for reproducing the recorded information as a read-out signal, and a comparing device for delaying the writing signal and comparing it with the read-out signal, the comparing device having a variable delay circuit for varying the delay time in conformity with the relative position of the recording device and the reproducing device relative to the record bearing member in the radial direction of the record bearing member.

摘要： A method of protecting a magnetic recording medium includes measuring a time period over which a main power supply continues to remain in an off state and the magnetic recording medium continues to remain loaded at a predetermined position. If the measured time period attains a first predetermined time period (e.g. 60 minutes), the recording medium is rotated for a second predetermined time period (e.g. several second), thereby preventing a magnetic recording/playback head from leaving its impression on the recording medium due to continuous pressing contact between the two at the same location on the recording medium.

摘要： A pickup arm driving control system in record disc players with repeat playback function. The driving control system can drive the manipulation of a tone arm in such a manner that only an optionally selected portion is repeatedly reproduced. The system includes an encoder for producing an output pulse at every predetermined step of the moving of the tone arm, a circuit for calculating the moving distance of the tone arm from an arm rest position by accumulating the output pulses, an operation switch for generating setting signals in response to manual operations conducted when the tone arm is just tracking the starting and end positions of a repeat playback part of the loaded record disc, a memory for storing the up-dated one of the calculated result of moving distance as a first memory value, the first memory values upon the generation of the setting signals as a second and third memory values, and a circuit for in response to the coincidences between the first memory value and the second or third memory value controlling the manipulation of the tone arm.

摘要： A turntable rotation control device has an electric motor reversibly rotatable. A mechanism is used for horizontally swinging a tone arm towards the inner circumference of a record by the rotation of the motor in a first direction. A second mechanism is employed for horizontally swinging the tone arm towards the outer circumference of the record by the rotation of the motor in a second direction. A first signal generating device generates a signal to rotate the motor in the first direction and a second signal generating device is employed for generating a signal to rotate the motor in the second direction a detecting circuit senses when the tone arm has been swung horizontally from the initial position at an arm rest and an OR gate circuit generates an output of a logical sum of an output signal of the first signal generating circuit and an output signal of said detecting circuit. A device circuit is driven by an output of said OR gate circuit to control the rotation of the turntable.
