    摘要: The present invention provides an apparatus for making a tube connection. The apparatus comprises a sleeve having an interior surface adapted for receiving a tube section therein. The sleeve further has an exterior surface having a locking mechanism disposed on an outer portion thereon, such outer portion has a first end and a second end. There is an upwardly inclined surface extending from such second end of such outer portion of the sleeve. Extending inwardly from the upwardly inclined surface is a generally cylindrical sleeve wall that is substantially parallel to a longitudinal axis extending through the sleeve from one end to another. There is further a stop flange disposed on a center portion of such sleeve extending radially outwardly from such center portion of such sleeve, such stop flange is disposed substantially adjacent such generally cylindrical sleeve wall. Such apparatus further includes a driver mechanism for engaging and deforming the sleeve and concurrently such tube section engaged within the sleeve. The driver mechanism has at least two cylindrical sections for engaging the exterior surface of the sleeve. A first end of the driver contacts such stop flange of the center portion of the sleeve and a second end engages the locking mechanism of the outer portion of the sleeve. Such sleeve also includes an anti-torque surface treatment on the inner surface of the ends to resist torsion of the tube.

    摘要: A plate type heat exchanger, which may for example be an evaporator for a motor vehicle air conditioning installation, comprises a stack of hollow plates with a pipe connector interposed in the stack. The flow circuit in which the heat exchanger is inserted includes a fluid flow tube coupled to the pipe connection of the heat exchanger by means of a coupling device which includes a clamping ring. This coupling device includes an intermediate sleeve having a cylindrical portion fitted intimately around a cylindrical end portion of the pipe connection, together with another cylindrical portion which serves in effect as an extension of the cylindrical end portion. The clamping ring is engaged around the outer cylindrical portion of the sleeve, so as to clamp the latter around the end of the fluid flow tube, the latter having previously been introduced into the sleeve and the end portion of the pipe connection.

    摘要: The invention provides a connector for connecting to an end of a conduit tube of the type which carries fiber optic communications cables. The connector comprising a body having a through bore through which a fiber optic cable may pass. At least one end of the body being arranged to receive therein an end of a conduit tube for carrying the cable. The body having first resilient sealing means for encircling the conduit tube and compression means for compressing the resilient sealing means and the conduit tube. Characterized in that the body has two main body portions arranged for relative axial movement therebetween, and means for drawing the two body portions together, and in that a second resilient means is disposed axially between two confronting surfaces of the two main body portions. The second resilient means being compressible by tightening the two main body portions together so as to deform the second resilient sealing means radially inwardly and into sealing contact with the fiber optic cable.

The holding device has a plurality of holding arms arranged around an axis. The holding arms are connected by a connecting body and each has an internal, radially inwardly directed groove. All grooves are in the same transverse plane of the holding arms and are of the same width as the clip band so that the clip band can be received therein. Preferably, a hose clip in the form of a spring band clip with a clip band having radially outwardly angled clamping jaws is used. A U-shaped clamp, which holds the clamping jaws together when the spring band clip is in an open position, may be connected to the connecting body by a connecting member which permits the clamp to pivot away from the clamping jaws but which prevents the clamp from being separated and thereby becoming lost.
