    摘要: An electrical enclosure includes a housing, a moveable bracket, an electrical device, a lever, and a drive assembly. The housing has a door attached to a body. The moveable bracket couples the electrical device to the body. The lever is positioned outside of the housing and is configured to switch between OFF and ON lever positions. The drive assembly at least partially protrudes through an aperture of the body and is attached to the lever. The drive assembly includes a drive cog that directly moves the handle of the circuit breaker between OFF and ON handle positions when the electrical device is in an operational position and the lever is switched from the OFF to the ON lever position.

    摘要: Disclosed is a racking mechanism for a drawout circuit breaker including a cross shaft movably positioned in an enclosure and at least one input link in operable communication with the cross shaft via at least one connecting link. At least one racking cam is movably positioned in the enclosure and is in operable communication with the input link. Each racking cam has at least one cam slot receptive of a portion of the circuit breaker. Movement of the cross shaft about an axis of the cross shaft is capable of moving the at least one racking cam from an open position toward a closed position with the portion of the circuit breaker disposed in the at least one cam slot, thereby securing the circuit breaker in the enclosure and the at least one racking cam is in the closed position. A method for securing a circuit breaker in an enclosure and a circuit breaker assembly are also disclosed.

    摘要: A motor controller includes an isolation switch having a main power supply terminal and a first bolted pressure contact and a load receptacle having a second bolted pressure contact. The motor controller also includes a drawout unit having a line terminal and a load terminal, the line terminal for engaging the first bolted pressure contact when the drawout unit is in an inserted position and the load terminal for engaging the second bolted pressure contact when the drawout unit is in the inserted position. The drawout unit rests on a drawer which is in turn supported by a pair of sliding rails. A current transformer generates a sensing signal for monitoring purposes. The components are arranged in a compact design which requires significantly less space than conventional designs.

    摘要: A racking mechanism (30) for switchgear cubicle (20) draw-out units (24) including a base (39); and a drive screw assembly (44) attached to the base (39) including a screw block (36) translated by rotation of the screw. The screw block (36) is adapted for selective coupling to a draw-out unit (24). Drive surfaces (72) are constructed on the drive screw assembly (44). A biased racking shield (52) which surrounds at least a portion of the drive surfaces (72) in a first position is translatable to a second position by exerting counter-biasing force against the racking shield, in order to expose a portion of the drive surfaces (72). A crank assembly (76) having a socket portion (80) is engageable with the drive surfaces (72) when the racking shield (52) is translated to its second position, in order to rotate the drive screw (44). The socket portion (80) is retained in engagement with the drive surfaces (72) upon translation of the racking shield (52) to its second position by detent groove (74) and spring plungers (82). The racking mechanism (30) may include a tape indicator assembly (96) visible while cranking the crank assembly (76).

    摘要: Disclosed herein is a drive unit for driving a tool mated with a tool receptacle in a device. The drive unit includes a tool carrying apparatus configured to carry the tool, and a proximity sensor cooperating with at least a portion of the tool carrying apparatus so as to detect movement of the tool carrying apparatus along a longitudinal axis thereof. A motor apparatus is configured to rotate the tool carrying apparatus. Control circuitry is configured to operate the motor in an engagement mode to rotate at least a portion of the tool carrying apparatus until the tool is rotationally aligned with the tool receptacle so as to permit insertion thereinto, based on the proximity sensor not detecting movement of the tool carrying apparatus a threshold distance along the longitudinal axis toward the tool receptacle.
