The circuit breaker assembly is removably attachable to the circuit breaker housing to change an orientation of the circuit breaker assembly.

A first window indicates the first indication, and a second window separate from the first window indicates the second indication.

摘要： A handle assembly is provided for a circuit breaker which includes a housing assembly that defines a substantially enclosed space housing an operating mechanism. The handle assembly is preferably a single-piece and includes a base member which is coupled to the operating mechanism, and a handle member having a first end which protrudes from an opening of the housing assembly, and a second end coupled to the base member. The base member includes first and second integral resilient legs which are disposed within the opening and are supported by posts protruding from the housing assembly, in order to resist undesired access into the substantially enclosed space therein. The first and second integral resilient legs each include a groove which increases the resiliency of the leg. The handle assembly is preferably symmetric about the longitudinal axis of the handle member.

摘要： A switch mechanism such as a circuit breaker includes a trip indicator mechanism. The switch mechanism includes a switch contact and a rocker movable between a first position in which the contacts are closed, a second position indicating that an electrical fault has occurred, in which the contacts are open, and a third position in which the switch mechanism has been reset and the contacts are open. The rocker preferably comprises two rocker members hinged together with one of the rocker members having a step formation between a front face and an end face. The step formation carries an instruction regarding resetting of the mechanism and lies substantially flush with the front panel of the circuit breaker housing, with the face of the first rocker member standing partially proud of the front panel, when the rocker is in the second position. The mechanism allows a user to distinguish between manual switching off of the circuit breaker and tripping due to a fault.

摘要： A return spring mechanism is arranged to operate with a circuit breaker operating mechanism during a trip condition. The circuit breaker operating mechanism is movable between a tripped position, a reset position, an off position and an on position. The return spring mechanism is attached to the exterior of the circuit breaker frame and includes a return spring with a fixed end attached to the frame. When the circuit breaker is tripped, the return spring mechanism operates to provide an additional force to the handle yoke. The additional force applied by the return spring is predetermined to position the handle yoke intermediate to the handle yoke positions when the circuit breaker is off and on. Thus, the movement of the handle yoke to the intermediate position provides clear indication that the circuit breaker is in the tripped condition.

Push button (20) is coupled to a movable contact arm (24) to move a movable electrical contact (26) into and out of engagement with a stationary electrical contact (28). A flexible fluid splash barrier sleeve (32) is telescopically received on a reduced diameter portion (34) of push button (20) above a white indicator portion (30) of the push button and has a lower distal end portion (36) which engages an annular top surface (38) of the bushing when push button (20) is depressed to bring the electrical contacts into engagement. Adhesive material may be used to affix the barrier sleeve to the reduced diameter portion (34) which optionally can have a roughened surface to enhance adhesion.
