    摘要: Embodiments provide an Energy Reduction Maintenance Setting (ERMS) key that includes a data connector configured to communicatively couple to a data port of a target device. The ERMS key further includes an illumination device and an actuator mechanism having a base positional state and an actuated positional state. The ERMS key includes logic configured to, upon detecting the actuator mechanism has moved from the base positional state to the actuated positional state, generate and transmit a first data message to the target device through the data connector instructing the target device to enter a protected mode. The logic is further configured to, upon receiving a second data message from the target device over the data connector acknowledging that the target device has successfully entered the protected mode, cause the illumination device to illuminate.

    摘要: Embodiments of the present disclosure disclose a method for improving a performance of a pulsed-ultraviolet (PUV) device. The method includes monitoring an input current across a circuit breaker in communication with a UV lamp, where the input current is delivered by a power signal and is interrupted by the circuit breaker upon exceeding a predefined cut-off current; generating a pulse signal having a set of frequencies based on the power signal for driving the UV lamp, where the pulse signal is associated with a predetermined cut-off frequency that increases the input current beyond the cut-off current; determining a predefined threshold current less than the cut-off current; and configuring the pulse signal with multiple distinct pulse frequencies per second for a predefined configuration period based on the input current exceeding the threshold current. The distinct pulse frequencies per second include at least one pulse frequency greater than the cut-off frequency.

However, circuit breaker operations may cause wear and tear of the tripping assembly components, which eventually cause the circuit breaker to wear out. Additionally, long periods of non-operations may cause the mechanical parts inside a circuit breaker to move sluggishly or, in some instances, fail to move at all. In an embodiment, a system includes a circuit breaker that trips to control power flow and an intelligent electronic device (IED) including an electronic display. The IED receives measurement data associated with a trip event for the circuit breaker, generates a current profile based on the measurement data, and presents the current profile via the electronic display.

The power wiring port and the power interface are connected to a circuit of a power distribution system. The signal interface is internally and electrically connected to the button, the status display unit, and the internal element, and the signal interface is externally configured to be electrically connected to a control unit disposed outside the housing. A control signal of the control unit implements working of the button, the status display unit, and the internal element.
