A fabric for transmission belts is described that is made entirely with polyaramid fibers. Furthermore, a transmission belt is provided that comprises a body made of a first elastomeric material, in which a plurality of resistant longitudinal filiform inserts is embedded, and a working surface covered in a covering fabric comprising polyaramid fibers in weft and warp yarns; advantageously, the transmission belt is a toothed belt. According to the present invention, in use, the belt is in continuous contact with oil or partially immersed in oil.
Abstract:
A filtering pulley having a hub adapted to be fixed to a rotating shaft, a pulley ring mounted coaxial and rotationally free on the hub, and a plurality of elastic assemblies arranged circumferentially with respect to the hub and the pulley ring and each interposed between a pair of first elements integral with the hub and between a pair of second elements integral with the pulley ring is disclosed. Each elastic element forms with the first elements and with the second elements respective angular clearances, and the pulley ring and the hub have a free angle of relative rotation equal to the sum of the above-mentioned angular clearances.
Abstract:
A filtering pulley having a hub adapted to be fixed to a rotating shaft, a pulley ring mounted coaxial and rotationally free on said hub, and at least one elastic assembly interposed between the hub and the pulley ring and a damper for damping the relative oscillations between the hub and the pulley ring is disclosed. The damper has a first damping level for relative rotations between the hub and the pulley ring which are smaller than a predetermined angle and a second damping level, which is greater than the first level, for relative rotations between the hub and the pulley ring which are larger than the predetermined angle.
Abstract:
A tensioner for a belt drive, comprising: a base carrying a pin defining an axis; a tensioning arm, which can rotate about the pin and supports an idle pulley; and a damping element, which is constrained to a hinge point eccentric with respect to the axis and is carried by one between the base and the tensioning arm so as to co-operate with a friction surface carried by the other between the base and the tensioning arm. The belt tensioner further comprises a resilient element having a first end portion connected in a single point to the damping element and a second end portion connected to the other between the base and the tensioning arm to cause a rotation of the damping element about the hinge point against the friction surface.
Abstract:
Described herein is a pulley assembly for a start-stop belt drive, comprising a hub having an axis and designed to be connected to a crankshaft of an internal-combustion engine, a pulley, which is designed to co-operate with a belt of a belt drive and is connected in a rotatable way on the hub, and a seismic mass, which is connected to the hub so as to rotate with respect to the hub so as to define a damping device for damping torsional vibrations. The pulley assembly comprises a band clutch co-operating selectively between the hub and the pulley and comprising a coil element and electromagnetic actuation means for governing clutching and de-clutching of the coil element.
Abstract:
Poly-V belt, particularly for driving accessories of an internal combustion engine, comprising a cord realized from a yarn composed of a plurality of filaments by means of a first twisting in which are formed at least two plied yarns each composed of at least one yarn and a second twisting in which the plied yarns are twisted together to form the cord; the first twisting and the second twisting are made in opposite directions, and the numbers of twists per meter of the two twisting steps are calculated so that in the finished cord the filaments form with the axis of the cord an angle smaller than 3.3°.
Abstract:
Described herein is a toothed belt comprising a body made of elastomeric material, in which there is embedded a plurality of longitudinal filiform resistant inserts or cords, and a toothing coated with a coating fabric; on top of the coating fabric there is made to adhere a resistant layer, which increases resistance to wear of the toothed belt and comprises a fluorine-based plastomer with addition of elastomeric material, in which the plastomer is present in a larger amount than is the elastomeric material and in which the majority of the particles constituting the fluorine-based plastomer have a size less than 10 μm. The resistant layer is applied directly on the fabric via spreading. The fluorinated plastomer preferably has a base of polytetrafluoroethylene compound.
