Abstract:
An input method is used for an electronic device having a touch-sensitive element and a display unit. Firstly, a contact on a specific zone of the touch-sensitive element is detected. Then, it is determined whether the contact remains. When the contact remains and slides to a specific position of the touch-sensitive element, a specific number corresponding to the specific zone is selected for input.
Abstract:
Methods and systems for screening incoming calls for use in a device having telecommunication capability. An incoming call from a caller is received. In response to the incoming call, a prompt is generated to the caller, and a response corresponding to the prompt is received therefrom. It is determined whether the response conforms to a specific answer. If so, the device indicates the reception of the incoming call. The prompt and response may be voice and/or text.
Abstract:
A multi-band antenna of compact size includes a conductor of uniform cross-section folded to form the antenna with a connection portion, a low-frequency first radiation portion, and a high-frequency second radiation portion. The connection portion has a feeding point for signal feeding. The first and second radiation portions connect to two ends of the connection portion. The first radiation portion is folded along two different planes to form three main sections. The second radiation portion is folded along a plane to form two sections. A terminal section of the first radiation portion and a terminal section of the second radiation portion are parallel, such that radiation of these two sections is coupled to enhance radiation characteristics of the antenna. Also, the folded structure helps to achieve compact size of the antenna.
Abstract:
An incoming-call management method of mobile telecommunication devices is provided. The method includes offering options for telephone holder and caller, and controls the procedure according to the telephone holder's setting and caller's decisions.
Abstract:
A speaker module and a mobile device having the speaker module are provided herein. The speaker module includes a speaker unit and a speaker box. The speaker box has a wall defining an aperture receiving the speaker unit therein. The speaker box has a first speaker chamber, a second speaker chamber and a connecting section connecting the first speaker chamber and the second speaker chamber. The cross-sectional height of the space of the connecting section is lower than that of the first speaker chamber or the second speaker chamber. In other option, the space of the connecting section is smaller than that of the first speaker chamber or the second speaker chamber.
Abstract:
A keyboard module (300) includes a printed circuit board (302), a Qwerty keyboard (304) mounted on the printed circuit board. A plurality of application buttons (308) mounted on the printed circuit board and located within the Qwerty keyboard, and a navigator button (306) mounted on the printed circuit board and located also within the Qwerty keyboard. The navigator button has four direction buttons (316a, 316b, 316c, 316d) each having a profile higher than that of keys of the Qwerty keyboard. Each of four keys of the Qwerty keyboard neighboring the navigator button is located between two neighboring direction buttons of the navigator button.
