摘要: There is provided a system, a method and an apparatus for managing network resources. The system includes a plurality of wireless entities including a mobile wireless entity and a fixed location wireless entity. The system further includes a plurality of computing devices, each of the plurality of computing devices including a processor and a memory storing instructions, the instructions when executed by the processor cause the plurality of computing devices to provide a location based media access (LOMA) map manager and a LOMA path manager, the LOMA map manager configured to generate and maintain a plurality of LOMA map, each of the plurality of LOMA maps including a plurality of LOMA zones, wherein a plurality of wireless communications resources used for communication between the plurality of wireless entities are associated with each of the plurality of LOMA zones, the LOMA path manager configured to manage communications using the wireless communications resources between the wireless entities. A technical effect of the embodiment may be the provision of semi-static management of communication resources and dynamic autonomous access to communication resources.

摘要: A controller and a method for determining a logical topology of communications resources for providing a service offering. The controller comprises a function identifier, a graph generator and a mapper. The identifier is coupled to a service level description (SLD) associating the service with at least one service type and a library of network functions (NFs) and identifies at least one NF in the library for each service type. The generator is coupled to the SLD and a library of primitive service level graphs (SLGs) representing at least one data flow between directly-coupled resource entities and associates at least one primitive SLG to each identified NF. The mapper is coupled to the service level description and a map of network infrastructure elements and maps at least one resource entity of a primitive SLG onto an available network infrastructure element.

In some embodiments data packets for a session between a UE and an application system (AS) can utilize a pre-established user plane path between the AS and an access node (AN) which serves the UE. This can allow for faster session set-up times as a new user plane (UP) path need not be established for every new session if existing UP paths can be utilized. Some embodiments allow an application aware (re)selection of the user plane.

摘要: Embodiments of the disclosure provide methods and systems for sidelink resource allocation in user equipment (UE) groups. The method includes, receiving, by a UE, from a radio access network (RAN) node, a first resource configuration message including configuration information for sidelink resources indicated by a sidelink resource grant and conditions for using sidelink resources of the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes receiving, from a second UE of the UE group, a second sidelink resource configuration message, the second sidelink resource configuration message including an activation indicator to activate at least a portion of the sidelink resources indicated by the sidelink resource grant. The method further includes determining the sidelink resources to be used for sidelink transmissions by combining the first and second sidelink resource configuration messages. The method further includes using the determined sidelink resources for data transmissions. Other embodiments of the disclosure provide for a method of performing UE group handover (HO), by a UE.

摘要: there is provided a method of generating a soft schedule for the transmission of data to a User Equipment. The method includes receiving traffic to be scheduled for transmission and generating a soft schedule for the transmission of the received data in accordance with a resource allocation and the received traffic. The method further includes transmitting the soft schedule to a scheduler in an underlying network slice, for transmission to the UE. There is also provided a scheduler including a processor and machine readable memory storing machine executable instructions which when executed by the processor configures the scheduler perform the above method.

摘要: An aspect of the disclosure provides for a method for user equipment (UE) internet protocol (IP) address management. The method includes sending by an application function (AF), a request to a policy control function (PCF), the request including information identifying traffic and an indication that a UE IP address associated with the traffic should be preserved. The method further includes sending by the PCF, to a session management function (SMF) being responsible for managing a Protocol Data Unit (PDU) session associated with the traffic, a policy and charging control (PCC) rule including the indication. In some embodiments, the request is sent by the AF to the PCF via a network exposure function (NEF). In some embodiments, the method further includes managing, by the SMF, the UE IP address according to the PCC rule. In some embodiments, the managing includes preserving the UE IP address for a PDU session associated with the traffic. In some embodiments, the preserving includes preventing reselection of a protocol data unit (PDU) session anchor (PSA) to which the UE IP address is associated.
