A driving circuit having a power factor correction (PFC) function includes a power converter, a harmonic wave generator, a voltage divider, and a modify element. The power converter receives AC power to convert to DC power. The harmonic wave generator generates a harmonic wave from the DC power. The voltage level of the harmonic wave is decreased by the voltage divider to generate a comparing signal. The modify element compares the comparing signal and a feedback current signal of the LED to regulate the DC power accordingly for power-supplying the LED stably. Therefore the power factor (PF) of the driving circuit is enhanced.
Abstract:
A hard water-repellent structure and a method for fabricating the same are provided. The method adopts an atmospheric pressure plasma deposition (APPD) technique to form a hard coating having a rough surface on a substrate, and form a water-repellent coating on the rough surface. Because the hard water-repellent structure includes the hard coating and the water-repellent coating, hardness, abrasion-resistance, transparency and hydrophobicity of the hard water-repellent structure are improved. The hard water-repellent structure protects the substrate from friction. Moreover, because the disclosure adopts the APPD technique to form the hard water-repellent structure, the cost of production is reduced dramatically. Thus, the disclosure can solve drawbacks of prior art.

A computer implemented method for deriving an attribute entity network (AEN) from video data is disclosed, comprising the steps of: extracting at least two entities from the video data; tracking the trajectories of the at least two entities to form at least two tracks; deriving at least one association between at least two entities by detecting at least one event involving the at least two entities, said detecting of at least one event being based on detecting at least one spatio-temporal motion correlation between the at least two entities; and constructing the AEN by creating a graph wherein the at least two objects form at least two nodes and the at least one association forms a link between the at least two nodes.

A method for automatically generating a strong classifier for determining whether at least one object is detected in at least one image is disclosed, comprising the steps of: (a) receiving a data set of training images having positive images; (b) randomly selecting a subset of positive images from the training images to create a set of candidate exemplars, wherein said positive images include at least one object of the same type as the object to be detected; (c) training a weak classifier based on at least one of the candidate exemplars, said training being based on at least one comparison of a plurality of heterogeneous compositional features located in the at least one image and corresponding heterogeneous compositional features in the one of set of candidate exemplars; (d) repeating steps (c) for each of the remaining candidate exemplars; and (e) combining the individual classifiers into a strong classifier, wherein the strong classifier is configured to determine the presence or absence in an image of the object to be detected.

A composite port connection device, and is provided with a plurality sets of connection ports for the user to connect them to various types of electronic devices. The connection ports include power output port and data transmission port. The major function of the invention is that, upon receiving the local power supply and data signals at input terminal, the power supply and the data signals are processed separately and independently, then they are connected to the related output ports respectively. Thus, the device enables a user to connect each of the respective output ports to each of the various electronic devices, hereby achieving the objective of providing power supply and realizing data transmission.

A process for color graphics image processing, related to detection and segmentation of sweeps, is provided. An input graphics image is transformed into a three-dimensional histogram in an appropriate color space 104 (e.g., CIELUV). Two-dimensional histograms are estimated from the three-dimensional histogram 106. The two-dimensional histograms are processed to detect and segment sweeps 108. Sweep segment information from the processing of the two-dimensional histograms is combined 110. The combined sweep segment information is used to process the input graphics image to identify and segment sweeps 112. Post-processing may be optionally and selectively used to reject false alarms (i.e., areas falsely identified as sweeps) 114.

An LED illuminator with the capability of stale brightness, which has the function of emergent lighting and night lighting, is disclosed. The disclosed LED illuminator has a charging unit, a switching unit, a detecting unit and a voltage-stabilizing unit. The detecting unit is adopted for detecting the brightness of the light in the light. The charging unit is used for charging the battery module of the LED illuminator, while the switching unit is used for replacing the power supply with the battery when needing emergent lighting. The voltage-stabilizing unit is adopted for adjusting the working voltage to keep the brightness stable during the LED illuminating period.

An adaptive image acquisition system and method that generates virtual view of a surveillance scene to a user (operator), in which, the user operates the system. Through viewing the virtual view, the user controls sensors that create the virtual view. The sensors comprise at least one first sensor having a higher resolution than at least one second sensor. Images from the second sensor are processed to create an image mosaic that is overlaid with images from the higher resolution first sensor. In one embodiment of the invention, the first sensor is moved using Saccade motion. In another embodiment of the invention, a user's intent is used to control the Saccade motion.
