Abstract:
The present invention provides an electrode for a polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell. In one embodiment, a planar nanoporous or microporous metal foam or metal aerogel structure is provided, from which an electrode with a catalyst layer integrally formed by fixing a catalyst in the metal foam or metal aerogel is formed.
Abstract:
Disclosed herein are an ice maker and method including an ice container to store ice, and a refrigerator having the same. The ice maker includes an ice making unit that receives water and produces ice from the water, a first ice container that receives the ice separated from the ice making unit, and an ice forwarding unit disposed at one side of the first ice container to guide the ice to be discharged to the outside.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a method for protecting MU-MIMO (Multi User-Multiple Input Multiple Output) data through a multi-RTS/CTS frame exchange in a MU-MIMO based wireless communication system. The method of the present invention comprises: a process where an indicator for VHT data protection is added to an RTS frame, using the structure of an RTS/CTS frame for an existing legacy terminal during the multi RTS/CTS frame exchange; a process where an access point designates and then transmits the duration period of the RTS frame while transmitting the RTS frame; and a process where wireless terminals up to the (n−1)th terminal designate the duration period of the CTS frame as ‘0’ and send the designated duration period, while only the n-th wireless terminal designates NAV for data protection.
Abstract:
The present invention relates to a web service method and an apparatus therefor. A service apparatus in accordance with the present invention includes a message security gateway for security, an authentication server, an authorization server, a security policy server, a harmful site database, and an application server. User authentication employs SAML assertion of an SAML authority server. A service method in accordance with the present invention analyzes a message format and can employ security technologies although they have different message formats.
Abstract:
An ice making unit and a refrigerator having the same are discussed. The refrigerator includes an ice making unit arranged in the ice making compartment, to produce ice, and a refrigeration cycle comprising a refrigerant pipe to supply cooling energy to the ice making compartment. Air present in the ice making compartment is cooled while undergoing direct heat exchange with at least one of the ice making unit and the refrigerant pipe.
Abstract:
Disclosed is a method for preparing nickel or palladium nanoparticles supported on a carbon support. To a mixture solution wherein a stabilizer is dissolved in 1,2-propanediol, a carbon support is added to prepare a dispersion. Then, a precursor solution wherein a nickel or palladium precursor dissolved in 1,2-propanediol is mixed therewith and stirred. Then, nickel or palladium nanoparticles supported on the carbon support are prepared by reduction. The disclosed method for preparing nickel or palladium nanoparticles supported on a carbon support allows preparation of nanoparticles with narrow particle size distribution and good dispersibility through a simple process and the resulting nickel or palladium nanoparticles may be usefully applied, for example, as electrode materials of fuel cells.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to methods for transmitting a frame by grouping a plurality of wireless terminals in a multiuser based wireless communication system. The present invention includes a method for transmitting a frame by including information about multiple receiver terminals in a MAC frame, another method for transmitting a frame by allocating group addresses and then using a corresponding group address for frame transmission, and yet another method for transmitting a frame by using a unique group sequence number that is allocated to each group and group control information that contains bitmap information. The group control information is included in a destination address field of a MAC layer, or in a signal field of a physical layer, or in both the MAC layer and the physical layer.
Abstract:
A microwave antenna system having a plurality of antenna elements arranged in an array having two spaced ends. A first phase shifter is electrically connected to a first group of at least two adjacent antenna elements at one end of the array to control the signal phase in that first group. Likewise, a second phase shifter is electrically connected to a second group of at least two adjacent array elements at the other end of the array to control the signal phase in the second group. Individual phase shifters are electrically connected to individual middle antenna elements for at least several of the middle antenna elements between the first and second groups.
Abstract:
For use in conjunction with a microwave antenna having a radiator array configured to scan in a horizontal direction, a method for scanning in the vertical direction. A first FMCW microwave signal having a first bandwidth is transmitted at a first microwave frequency and the echo, if any, is received by the radiator array. A second FMCW microwave signal having a second bandwidth is also transmitted at a different center frequency and the echo, if any, is received by the radiator array. The different frequencies cause an elevational shift in the received signal. The receipt of the echoes is then processed to identify the location or locations of the object or objects causing the echo and communicating such location or locations to a user.
