Abstract:
An accessory door panel for a utility vehicle provides a fabric door panel which can be quickly deployed and installed within a utility vehicle for emergency weather use where the utility vehicle has had the factory doors removed at the discretion of the driver. The fabric door panel is fitted to the contours of the door opening and may be stored from an overhead horizontal support member over the door or alternatively stored within a container mounted to the floor at the bottom of the door opening, the door being made of a flexible material that can be stretched across the door opening and anchored at several points along the door frame by independent anchors.

Abstract:
A suck-back valve selectively actuatable for dispensing liquid in its open condition from an associated liquid storage container, and for avoiding continued presence of excess dispensed liquid about the exit orifice in the closed condition of the valve, is formed at least in part of a spring member and a pin. The spring member includes a distal web that defines a valve seat and a dispensed liquid exit orifice, a proximal web, and a plurality of flexibly elastic bands helically connecting the distal and proximal webs. The pin includes an elongated shaft having a proximal end secured to the proximal web and carrying a substantially hollow frustoconical cone at its distal end. The cone has an outer valving surface for releasable abutment with the valve seat and the shaft has a bore of predetermined cross-sectional extent defined longitudinally along and within the shaft to create a continuous fluid passageway through and along the pin. Dispensed liquid remaining proximate the exit orifice is sucked back into the liquid container through the shaft bore as the valve returns from its open to its closed condition under the return urgency of the elastic bands.
Abstract:
A stored liquid dispensing applicator includes a valving arrangement formed of a valve seat and a spring-driven shuttle that is disposed for axial displacement into and out of valve-defining abutment and engagement with the valve seat. The shuttle is displaceable between distal and proximal limits of travel that include a first position defining the distal limit and a second position proximally spaced from the distal limit and distally spaced from the proximal limit. The valve seat is arranged for contact with the shuttle uninterruptedly between the first and second positions to close the valve, and for spaced apart relation with the shuttle between the second position and the proximal limit of travel to open the valve for dispensing of stored liquid. The first position of the shuttle defines an enhanced second level seal, attainable only during manufacture of the device, that is especially resistant to unintended liquid flow or discharge between the valve seat and shuttle. The spring force distally driving the shuttle is sufficient to return the shuttle, from its proximal limit, only to the second position which defines a first level seal of the valving arrangement effective for preventing unintended releases of stored fluid during and between normal usages of the device.
Abstract:
Extrusion of feed materials of a high temperature formable non-ferrous metal susceptible to embrittlement during air processing uses an extrusion system having a rotatable wheel and shoe covering part of the length of a groove around the periphery of the wheel to form an arcuate passageway, the shoe having an abutment which substantially closes a second end of the passageway and an extrusion die spaced from the abutment by a die chamber. The process includes pre-heating the feed material to not less than about 390° C. in a chamber defined by a feeder device, maintaining a protective atmosphere in the chamber of the feeder device while the feed material is heated. The pre-heated feed material then is passed to an inlet end of the passageway, and drawn along the passageway, to be forced by the abutment into the die chamber and through an extrusion orifice of the die to provide extruded product.
Abstract:
Meter electronics (20) for a flow meter (5) is provided according to an embodiment of the invention. The meter electronics (20) includes an interface (201) for receiving a vibrational response from the flow meter (5) and a processing system (203) in communication with the interface (201). The vibrational response is a response to a vibration of the flow meter (5) at a substantially resonant frequency. The processing system (203) is configured to receive the vibrational response from the interface (201), determine a frequency (ω0) of the vibrational response, determine a response voltage (V) and a drive current (I) of the vibrational response, measure a decay characteristic (ζ) of the flow meter (5), and determine the stiffness parameter (K) from the frequency (ω0), the response voltage (V), the drive current (I), and the decay characteristic (ζ).
Abstract:
The present invention discloses a planter slip-cover to provide a decorative covering around a planter or pot while offering structural support to the planter base and top edge. The planter slip-cover comprises a sleeve extending vertically around an outer surface of a planter, a bottom plate located at a lower portion of the sleeve, where the bottom plate rests beneath a base of the planter, a lip located at an upper portion of the sleeve, where the lip fits around a top edge of the planter, and a set of perforated flanges affixed within the lip wherein the set of perforated flanges are removed individually to create a customized fit around the top edge of the planter.
Abstract:
A mattress encasement made of bug impervious fabric provides a zipper opening for removal of the mattress. A foam pad is stitched at an end of the zipper closure such that when the zipper is located at or near the end, a channel is provided to prevent or obstruct the escapement of bed bugs via the channel and out from a mattress encased by the mattress encasement.
Abstract:
A method for calculating a fluid parameter of a fluid flowing through a vibratory flow meter is provided. The method comprises vibrating the flow meter at one or more frequencies and receiving a vibrational response. The method further comprises generating a first fluid property and generating at least a second fluid property. The method further comprises calculating a fluid parameter based on the first fluid property and the at least second fluid property.
