Abstract:
Damper includes a housing having proximal and distal ends, a first attachment point proximate the distal end of the housing, a rod having proximal and distal ends at least partially disposed within the housing and moveable relative to the housing between an extended position and a compressed position, a second attachment point proximate the proximal end of the rod, a piston joined to the rod within the housing proximate the distal end of the rod, the piston including a bypass groove having a flow area defined therein to allow fluid to flow from a first side of the piston to an opposing side of the piston, and a first washer disposed proximate a first end of the piston and at least partially covering the flow area of the bypass groove.
Abstract:
A spring device for the motion drive of a movable component from a rest position into a displaced position includes a gas spring and a preloaded spring, the movable component being loaded into the displaced position by a preloaded spring. The gas spring includes a pressurized gas-filled cylinder with a first end closed by a first end plate and a second end closed by a second end plate. A piston divides the interior of the cylinder into a first working chamber and a second working chamber. The piston having a first piston rod extending through the first working chamber and through the first end plate in a sealed manner, a free end of the first piston rod being fixed to the movable component or a stationary component, and a second piston rod extending through the second working chamber and through the second end plate in a sealed manner.
Abstract:
A chair column arrangement of a swivel chair includes an upright tube which has a star base at its end region and in which a support tube is rotatably mounted. An end region of support tube remote from the star base protrudes from the upright tube and carries a seat at its protruding end region. A driven wheel is arranged non-rotationally coaxially on the support tube. A driving wheel arranged on a generator shaft of an electrical generator generating alternating current can be driven rotatably directly or indirectly by the driven wheel, wherein the electrical generator is arranged rigidly on the upright tube.

Abstract:
The present invention relates to a piece of furniture comprising at least one adjustable use portion, in particular an office chair having an adjustable seat and/or an adjustable backrest. The present invention further relates to an adjusting assembly that can be used, for example, for a piece of furniture of said type.
Abstract:
An adjusting device for a vehicle part that is movable relative to the body of a vehicle, in particular for a vehicle door or panel, includes a drive assembly having a drive unit and a connecting unit for connecting the drive assembly to a superordinate assembly, i.e. an assembly not part of the adjusting device, either the body of the vehicle or the movable vehicle part, an adjusting element which can be displaced relative to the drive assembly by means of the drive unit and which comprises, at the free end thereof, an additional connecting unit for connecting the adjusting element to a superordinate assembly, i.e. an assembly not part of the adjusting device, either the movable vehicle part or the body of the vehicle, one connecting unit is connected to the drive assembly at a point that is remote from the free end of the drive assembly.
Abstract:
An office chair including a base, a seat, a chair column that extends in the vertical direction between the base and the seat, and a backrest, further comprising an electric drive unit that comprises an electric motor and a change gear, the change gear being designed to input the rotational force of the electric motor into a first adjustment device for adjusting a seat height of the seat and converting said force in a second adjustment device for adjusting a tilt of the seat or the backrest.
Abstract:
A lockable piston-cylinder unit having a cylinder that is closed at both ends and filled with pressurized fluid and in which a piston that is sealed relative to the inner wall of the cylinder is displaceably guided. The piston divides the interior of the cylinder into a first working chamber and a second working chamber. A piston rod is arranged at the piston and is guided out of the cylinder 1 through one of the working chambers and through a guiding and sealing unit which closes the one end of the cylinder.
Abstract:
A trigger device includes an actuation device for converting an electrical activation signal into a movement of an actuator, a control device, which is connected to the actuation device for transmitting an actuation signal and which comprises receiving means for receiving an activation signal, and a power supply unit for supplying the actuation device and the control device with electric power.
Abstract:
A drive device has a spindle drive having a threaded spindle and a spindle nut arranged on the threaded spindle. The spindle drive is configured to drive a first component element and a second component element so as to be axially movable relative to one another. The spindle drive is reversibly rotatably drivable around an axis of rotation extending coaxial to the threaded spindle by a rotatably driven driveshaft arranged in a housing so as to be fixed with respect to rotation. A brake device prevents axially relative movement of the first component element and second component element relative to one another through axial application of force to the first component element and/or second component element.
