Abstract: A method and apparatus for controlling access to memory is disclosed. In one implementation, a memory controller may receive a memory access request that may include a virtual memory address, a device identifier (ID) and a protected access indicator. Additionally, the memory controller can receive page table entries including a physical memory address based on the virtual memory address and a security attribute associated with the physical memory address. The memory controller may access a memory based on the physical memory address, the security attribute, the protected access indicator, and the device ID.

Abstract: A sensing device comprises sensor electrodes arranged in an array of rows and columns, and vias. A first vias is arranged in a first direction, and corresponds to a first column of sensor electrodes adjacent to a first side edge of the sensing device. A second via is arranged in a second direction different than the first direction, and corresponds to a second column of the sensor electrodes adjacent to a second side edge of the sensing device. Each of the sensor electrodes is configured to be coupled to a routing trace through one of the vias. In a first row of the plurality of sensor electrodes, a two vias are different distances from the first side edge and in a second row of the plurality of sensor electrodes, two vias are different distances from the second side edge.

Abstract: A system and method for interference detection comprises coupling, in a first mode, an input of a first receiver channel with an input of a second receiver channel. In the first mode, the first receiver channel generates a first output signal by mixing a first portion of a combined resulting signal with a first mixing signal having a first phase. The combined resulting signal is simultaneously received from a first sensor electrode and a second sensor electrode. Further, in the first mode, the second receiver channel generates a second output signal by mixing a second portion of the combined resulting signal with a second mixing signal having a second phase orthogonal to the first phase. The first portion of the combined resulting signal differs from the second portion of the combined resulting signal.

Abstract: A semiconductor device comprises driver circuitry, an analog-digital (AD) converter, and processing circuitry. The driver circuitry is configured to supply a drive signal to a sensor array in a sensing frame comprising 2N bursts, N being an integer of two or more. The mixer circuitry is configured to modulate a plurality of carrier waves with a plurality of sensing signals corresponding to capacitances of a plurality of sensing electrodes of the sensor array, respectively, to output a plurality of mixer outputs. A number of the plurality of sensing electrodes is 2N−1 or 2N. The AD converter is configured to perform AD conversion on a sum signal of the plurality of mixer outputs. The processing circuitry is configured to detect an object based on the output of the AD converter.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for estimating a user's head pose relative to a sensing device. The sensing device detects a face of the user in an image. The sensing device further identifies a plurality of points in the image corresponding to respective features of the detected face. The plurality of points includes at least a first point corresponding to a location of a first facial feature. The sensing device determines a position of the face relative to the sensing device based at least in part on a distance between the first point in the image and one or more of the remaining points. For example, the sensing device may determine a pitch, yaw, distance, or location of the user's face relative to the sensing device.

Abstract: Sensing systems and methods that utilize zero row sum code division multiplexing (CDM) drive matrices to reduce or eliminate radiative emissions. Measurements corresponding to an input received at a sensing region of the input device are obtained by driving a first subset of transmitters of the input device according to a first portion of a CDM drive matrix, wherein the CDM matrix is a zero row sum matrix, and obtaining first measurement signals with the plurality of receivers, and driving a second subset of the transmitters according to a second portion of the CDM drive matrix, wherein the first and second subsets of transmitters include at least one transmitter in common, and obtaining second measurement signals with the plurality of receivers. An image of the input may be generated based on the obtained measurements.

Abstract: Low power consumption baseline tracking systems and methods for automatically tracking a baseline input into a capacitive sensor having a plurality of transmitter electrodes and a plurality of receiver electrodes. A partial baseline scan is captured by driving all or a portion of the plurality of transmitter electrodes simultaneously and detecting receiver signals from a subset of the at least one receiver electrode simultaneously, and the partial baseline scan is compared with a stored baseline image. When a difference between the captured partial baseline scan and the stored baseline image exceeds a threshold value, a full baseline image scan is acquired, and the stored baseline image is updated.
