Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed. In an example from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE) with a first Universal Subscriber Identity Module (USIM) and a second USIM, the UE establishes a connection associated with the first USIM, wherein a UE state corresponding to the first USIM enters connected state. The UE stops monitoring paging in a serving cell for the second USIM based on a time domain pattern derived using a second UE Identifier (UE ID) associated with the second USIM, wherein the stopping monitoring paging is performed when the UE state corresponding to the first USIM is connected state and a UE state corresponding to the second USIM is idle state or inactive state. The UE receives, in a serving cell for the first USIM from a network node, an indication associated with activity for the second USIM via the connection associated with the first USIM.

Abstract: A method for a wireless communications system is disclosed. In one example, user equipment (UE) (e.g. a mobile phone) receives an indication from a network (for example, by way of a transmission and reception point (TRP)) indicating whether a first transmission and a second transmission to the UE can be combined for decoding. The UE also receives the first transmission via a first UE beam and the second transmission via a second UE beam. The first transmission and the second transmission are received concurrently. The first and second transmissions can arrive via different serving beams and/or different TRPs of the same cell. Based on the indication, the UE combines the first and second transmissions for decoding purposes.

The UE selects a third cell during a RRC connection re-establishment procedure. In response to the selecting the third cell, the UE determines whether or not to release the dedicated PUR configuration based upon whether or not the third cell is the same as the first cell, wherein the determining whether or not to release the dedicated PUR configuration is performed when the UE is in RRC connected state.

Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for selecting beam for preconfigured uplink resources in a wireless communication system are disclosed herein. In one method, a user equipment (UE) receives, from a network node, a signaling to configure at least one Preconfigured Uplink Resource (PUR) associated with one or more beams from multiple beams. The UE selects a first beam from the multiple beams and performs a transmission of data in RRC_INACTIVE state using the at least one PUR via the first beam if the first beam fulfills at least one condition, wherein the at least one condition comprises that the first beam is associated with the at least one PUR and Reference Symbol Received Power (RSRP) of the first beam is better than a first threshold. The UE initiates a Random Access (RA) procedure and performs the transmission during the RA procedure if no beam of the multiple beams fulfills the at least one condition.

Abstract: A method for a wireless communications system is disclosed. In one example, a user equipment (UE) (e.g. a mobile phone), receives an indication from a network about one or more UE beams that the UE can use for transmission or reception. The UE uses the one or more UE beams for transmission or reception. If and when a certain condition is fulfilled, for example, there is a beam tracking failure, the UE transmits or receives a specific signal via a specific UE beam. The specific UE beam is different from the one or more UE beams that were indicated by the network, and is selected by the UE.

Abstract: A method and apparatus are disclosed from the perspective of a User Equipment (UE). In one embodiment, the method includes receiving, from a network node, a configuration of Preconfigured Uplink Resources (PUR), when the UE is in RRC_CONNECTED state, wherein the PUR is used for a transmission when the UE is in RRC_IDLE state. The method also includes determining to generate a first Radio Resource Control (RRC) message or a second RRC message for the transmission based on whether the transmission is to be transmitted using the PUR or not, wherein the first RRC message includes a UE identity and the second RRC message does not include the UE identity. The method further includes performing the transmission including the first RRC message or the second RRC message when the UE is in RRC_IDLE state.
