Abstract: Described is an apparatus of a User Equipment (UE). The apparatus may comprise a first circuitry, a second circuitry, and a third circuitry. The first circuitry may be operable to process one or more configuration transmissions from the gNB carrying a rule for Uplink (UL) collisions and process a first Downlink (DL) transmission and a second DL transmission. The second circuitry may be operable to identify a first UL transmission for the first DL transmission and a second UL transmission for the second DL transmission, the first UL transmission overlapping with the second UL transmission in at least one Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) symbol. The third circuitry may be operable to generate at least one of the first UL transmission and the second UL transmission in accordance with the rule for UL collisions.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus are disclosed for a UE and its serving base station in 5G NR systems to signal channel scan or channel sensing to allow channel occupancy time (COT) sharing before transmissions. The COT sharing may be initiated by the base station or by the UE by asserting a CCA indication to enable channel sensing by a UE or base station, respectively. When the UE receives and decodes the asserted CCA indication during downlink transmission, the UE may perform channel sensing during a short interframe space (SIFS) between the downlink transmission and a scheduled uplink transmission. When the UE detects that the sensed RF energy across an intended transmission band is greater than an energy detect threshold, the UE may refrain from transmitting during the scheduled uplink transmission. Otherwise, or when the CCA indication is de-asserted, the UE may transmit during the scheduled uplink transmission without performing channel sensing.

Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods are disclosed for frame based equipment (FBE) framework for new radio (NR) systems operating on the unlicensed spectrum. A processor for a base station performs a first clear channel assessment (CCA) using Category-1 (CAT-1) or CAT-2 listen-before-talk (LBT) on an unlicensed spectrum. The processor transmits first downlink (DL) data to one or more user equipments (UEs) within a fixed frame period (FFP) in accordance with a frame based equipment (FBE) framework for new radio (NR) on the unlicensed spectrum. The base station operates as an initiating device and the one or more UEs operate as responding devices. The processor performs a second CCA responsive to a gap of X orthogonal frequency-division multiplexing (OFDM) symbols between a DL burst and an uplink (UL) burst being greater than a threshold gap. The processor transmits second DL data within the FFP responsive to performing the second CCA.

Abstract: Systems, devices, and techniques for wideband operations in unlicensed spectrum are described. A described technique receiving, by a user equipment (UE), a schedule for transmitting on a Physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) over at least a portion of a plurality of listen-before-talk (LBT) subbands of a bandwidth part (BWP) in an unlicensed spectrum. The scheduled PUSCH bandwidth indicated by the schedule can be greater than a unit bandwidth of a LBT subband. The technique includes performing, by the UE, a LBT procedure on each scheduled LBT subband of the plurality of LBT subbands, each of the scheduled LBT subbands being associated with the scheduled PUSCH bandwidth. The technique includes performing, by the UE, a PUSCH transmission in accordance with the schedule that uses one or more of the scheduled LBT subbands that have passed the LBT procedure.

Abstract: Systems and methods for determining channel raster(s) and synchronization signal raster(s) for New Radio (NR) unlicensed spectrum are disclosed herein. For each of a plurality of data objects an NR channel raster position is determined using Absolute Radio Frequency Channel Number (NR-ARFCN) numbers. For each corresponding NR channel, Global Synchronization Channel Numbers (GSCNs), a number of Physical Resource Blocks (PRBs) based on channel subcarrier spacing (SCS), NR channel raster position placement, channel edges, synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SSB) edges, and an SSB raster position are calculated. The plurality of data objects may then be down selected based on e.g., corresponding Long Term Evolution (LTE) channel raster positions and/or entries of a second plurality of data objects calculated for NR channels that use a second SCS.
