摘要: A tape posture control pole controls widthwise inclination of a tape. When the tape cassette containing the tape has been loaded at a predetermined loading position, a tape posture control pole-moving mechanism advances the tape posture control pole into an indentation formed in the tape cassette. When the tape has been pulled out of the tape cassette through the indentation, the tape posture control pole-moving mechanism moves the tape posture control pole close to a guide pin formed within the tape cassette substantially in parallel to the guide pin. Simultaneously, the tape posture control pole-moving mechanism brings the tape posture control pole into contact with the inner side of the tape which is pulled out of the tape cassette through the tape-takeout section. In this fashion, the tape posture control pole-moving mechanism causes the tape posture control pole to control the widthwise inclination of the tape.

摘要: An ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus capable of obtaining information on a pressure gradient in a blood vessel based on only reception signals of ultrasonic echoes reflected within an object. The apparatus includes: an ultrasonic probe for outputting reception signals; a measuring unit for measuring an inside radius of a blood vessel within the object and blood flow velocities in plural locations in a radial direction substantially at the same time based on the reception signals; and a computing unit for computing a velocity gradient in the radial direction at an inner wall point of the blood vessel by differentiating the blood flow velocities measured by the measuring unit in the radial direction, and computing a pressure gradient at ends of a predetermined length of the blood vessel based on the computed velocity gradient, the measured inside radius of the blood vessel, and a predetermined viscosity of blood.

摘要: The number of signal lines connecting an ultrasonic probe and an ultrasonic diagnostic apparatus main body is reduced or wireless communication is realized by reducing a volume of data of reception signals outputted from plural ultrasonic transducers. The ultrasonic probe includes: plural ultrasonic transducers for transmitting ultrasonic waves according to drive signals and receiving ultrasonic echoes to output reception signals; signal processing units for performing orthogonal detection processing or orthogonal sampling processing on the reception signals to generate two signals representing a complex baseband signal; sampling units for sampling the two signals to generate parallel sample data; a serializing unit for converting the parallel sample data into serial sample data; and a transmitting unit for transmitting the serial sample data.

摘要: A LCD unit (116) has a first and a second LCD panels (261, 262) which are stacked one on another. The first LCD panel (261) includes a color filter layer (251), and is configured as a color LCD panel for performing a color display. The second LCD panel (262) is configured as a monochrome LCD panel for performing a monochrome display based on an image source. The first LCD panel (261) displays an image, which is obtained by averaging the image data of the image source by using an arithmetic unit, which averages the image data pixels disposed within a range specific distance apart from a central pixel.

摘要: A method of manufacturing a recording medium with an excellent productivity is provided. The method provides a recording medium having excellent ink absorbency and coloring property and includes an ink-receiving layer in which a binder is restricted and controlled. The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a recording medium including the steps of: performing a surface treatment on a substrate; and forming an ink-receiving layer using at least a pigment, polyvinyl alcohol, and a coating liquid that contains at least one selected from the group consisting of boric acid and borate. In this method, the surface-treatment step includes a first surface treatment and a second surface treatment. In the first surface treatment, a coating liquid that contains at least one selected from the group consisting of boric acid and borate is applied followed by being dried and solidified. In the second surface treatment, after the first surface treatment, a coating liquid that contains at least one selected from the group consisting of boric acid and borate is applied on the substrate. While the substrate is in a state of being wet by the coating liquid applied in the second surface treatment, the substrate is further coated with a coating liquid for forming the ink-receiving layer.
