    摘要: A method for setting up a riveter comprising an electrical drive which is configured to place a blind riveting element in a location hole. The riveter applies a tensile force to a tensile element of the blind riveting element during a rivet placement process so that the tensile element tears away from a remainder of the blind riveting element at a predetermined breaking point at an end of the placement process. The tensile force used to place the blind riveting element is defined by an adjustable maximum value which is determined during the setting up. The method includes performing the placement process with the blind riveting element of the type to be used, acquiring a progression of the tensile force during the placement process, determining at least one characteristic value from the progression, and fixing the adjustable maximum value as a function comprising the at least one characteristic value.

    摘要: A method for direct screwing, in particular flow hole screwing, includes producing a hole in a first stage in a structural component without cutting and forming a thread with a flow hole screw in a second stage. A feed and feed force are produced by a non-pneumatic feed drive and transmitted to a screw shaft rotated by high feed force and high rotational speed in the first stage and at a defined switchover point with penetration of the structural component a switchover is made to the second stage with lower feed force and slower rotational speed. A drive parameter correlated to the feed force, especially a motor current of an electric motor of the feed drive, is monitored and a characteristic change of this parameter is defined as switchover point. A rapid switchover with process stability is attained and damage to the flow hole screw thread is avoided.

    摘要: A fastener insertion system, for use with an assembly stack-up, includes a fastener and an end effector. The end effector includes a drill bit for drilling a hole through the stack-up, a probe for determining a stack-up parameter, and a fastener feed head for installing the fastener into the hole and applying rotational torque to complete fastener installation. The fastener insertion system also includes a processing device and an angle sensor communicatively coupled to the processing device and to the end effector. The processing device is programmed to measure, with the rotation angle sensor, the angular displacement required to complete fastener installation and to transmit a signal representative of the measured angular displacement from the angle sensor to the processing device. The processing device is also programmed to compare the measurement of angular displacement required to complete fastener installation to a range of angular displacement indicative of correct fastener installation.
