摘要: An ink jet print head has a plurality of nozzles arranged in a vertical line at the printing end and connected by respective ink channels to pressure cavities in a circular arrangement at the ink supply end. The pressure cavities are supplied from an intermediate chamber contained in the print head and formed in a thin elongated shape and positioned generally in a plane parallel with the line of the nozzles. The construction of the print head compensates for acceleration and deceleration forces which are induced in the ink due to movement of the print head in the horizontal direction or perpendicular to the plane of the nozzles.

摘要: An ink droplet sensing means for detecting whether or not droplets are impinging on record media during ink jet printing operations. A synthetic foil having a metal layer is placed over a counter electrode having a rough surface on one side and a voltage is then applied to the electrode and the metal layer. Ink droplets impinging on the foil momentarily deflect the foil and cause a change in capacity which in turn causes a voltage change at the electrode. The voltage change is coupled through a capacitor and an amplifier and through recognition logic for evaluation of the signals.

摘要: A system for virtualizing information technology (IT) appliances can include an IT appliance hosting facilities software. The IT appliance hosting facilities software can be implemented at a layer of abstraction above a virtual machine host, which is implemented in a layer of abstraction above a hardware layer of a computing system. The IT appliance hosting facilities software can include programmatic code functioning as virtualized hardware upon which a set of IT appliance software modules are able to concurrently run. The IT appliance hosting facilities software can provide caching, application level security, and a standardized framework for running the IT appliance software modules, which are configured in conformance with the standardized framework.

摘要: The invention relates to an optoelectronic sensor comprising an integrated arrangement of a plurality of light emitting diodes arranged in the region of an optical receiving system for the illumination of a sensing region, with beam-shaping optical elements being associated with the light emitting diodes. The beam-shaping optical elements have optical properties which differ from one another and are dependent on their relative position to the optical receiving system. Furthermore, the beam-shaping optical elements have a wedge shape, with in each case precisely one wedge element or regions of up to four adjacent wedge elements being associated with the light emitting diodes.
