An electrophotographic lithographic printing plate precursor comprising a conductive support having provided thereon at least one photoconductive layer containing photocondutive zinc oxide and a resin binder is disclosed, wherein the resin binder comprises at least one resin (A) containing at least one functional group capable of forming at least one hydroxyl group upon decomposition and at least one member selected from the group consisting of (B) a heat- and/or photo-curable resin and a crosslinking agent. Since the hydroxyl group formed in the resin (A) enhances hydrophilic properties of nonimage areas, the printing plate obtained from the precursor is resistant to background stains. This effect is further ensured by the crosslinked structure formed between the resin (A) and the resin (B) and/or a crosslinking agent.

An electrophotographic photoreceptor comprising a support having provided thereon at least one photoconductive layer containing at least inorganic photoconductive particles and a binder resin, is disclosed wherein said binder resin comprises (1) at least one resin (A) containing at least one acidic group selected from --PO.sub.3 H.sub.2, --SO.sub.3 H, --COOH, and ##STR1## wherein R represents a hydrocarbon group, at the terminal of the polymer main chain thereof, and (2) at least one of a thermosetting resin (B) containing a crosslinking functional group and a crosslinking agent. The photoreceptor exhibits improved electrostatic characteristics. The photoreceptor provides an electrophotographic lithographic printing plate precursor which exhibits excellent image reproducibility irrespective of a variation of environmental condition at the time of electrophotographic processing and produces a printing plate having improved printing durability and causing no background stains.

A liquid developer for electrostatic photography is described, comprising at least a resin dispersed in a non-aqueous solvent having an electric resistance of at least 10.sup.9 ohms.cm and a dielectric constant of not more than 3.5. The resin is a copolymer resin obtained by polymerizing a solution containing at least one monofunctional monomer (A) which is soluble in the non-aqueous solvent but becomes insoluble upon polymerization and at least one specified monomer (B) containing an aliphatic group having at least 8 carbon atoms and being copolymerizable with the monomer (A), in the presense of a resin not containing a grafting group polymerizable with the monomers and being soluble in the non-aqueous solvent. The resin may be colored by dissolving at least one organic dye in the dispersion of the resin and heating the mixture. The developer has excellent dispersion stability, redispersibility, fixability and preservability.
