    摘要: The present invention relates to an image display device that includes a display screen where subpixels emitting colored light of each color are arranged cyclically so as to repeat every predetermined display pixel pitch at least in a predetermined rotation arrangement direction and displays images on the display screen. The image display device displays images based on image data having a resolution higher than a resolution determined by the display pixel pitch after minimizing color differences from colors expressed by the image data. A weighting operation is performed which corresponds to a state where each data point is arranged not to overlap with the center of each subpixel to calculate data corresponding to each subpixel.

    摘要: A plasma display device having display electrode pairs and providing improved luminance and light emission efficiency of display discharges with reduced variations of the luminance and light emission efficiency thereof resulting from variations of a display load. A discharge is generated by applying an offset drive voltage that is higher than a sustain voltage applied to the display electrode pair, and applying the sustain voltage for a constant period after dropping the applied voltage from an offset drive voltage to the sustain voltage after generating the display discharge. The drive output state is set to a low impedance state at least during a time period from the start of applying the offset drive voltage until the applied voltage drops to the sustain voltage.

    摘要: The present invention relates to a plasma display device which limits a generation of electromagnetic wave. The plasma display device has first and second drive circuits for applying a drive voltage to first and second display electrode pair. Further, a direction of a charge current flowing at said first display electrode pair when said drive voltage is applied by said first drive circuit is opposite on said plasma display panel to a direction of a charge current flowing at said second display electrode pair when said drive voltage is applied by said second drive circuit. According to the present invention, a transitional charge/discharge current, which is generated upon the application of a drive voltage to one of the display electrodes, and a light emission discharge current flow in opposite directions on the panel. Thus, electromagnetic waves that are generated by the inductances of the display electrode pair cancel each other out. In addition, the currents flowing in opposing directions cancel each other out on the common ground wirings which are connected to the ground wirings of the drive circuits, and electromagnetic wave is reduced.

    摘要: This invention provides a plasma tube array-type display sub-module that realizes one seamless large screen of a display device and prevents degradation in quality of an image to be displayed on the large screen. The electromagnetic wave shield layer is formed so as to extend beyond an effective display region over, where the plurality of plasma tubes is arranged on one side of the front-side supporting sheet. Moreover, at least one further function layer is formed only over the effective display region. The front-side supporting sheet with display electrodes and the electromagnetic wave shield layer is bent toward the back direction along a side end of the effective display region in order to join plasma tube array-type display sub-modules.
