摘要: Vaporization devices and methods of operating them are described. In particular, apparatuses with a resistive heating element, electrical circuitry for measuring a voltage between the resistive heating element and a reference resistor, and a microcontroller for controlling a temperature of the resistive heating element in response to a determined resistance are described. The electrical circuitry may comprise the reference resistor, a first switch operable to interrupt the flow of current from the power source through the resistive heating element, a second switch operable to add the reference resistor in series with the resistive heating element when the flow of current from the power source through the resistive heating element is interrupted by operation of the first switch, and a voltage divider configured to measure a voltage between the resistive heating element and the reference resistor.

摘要: An apparatus includes a housing including a power source; a reservoir including an inlet, an outlet, and configured to contain vaporizable material and couple to the housing; and a PTCR heating element configured to electrically couple to the power source and heat the vaporizable material to form an aerosol. The PTCR heating element includes an electrical resistivity that varies based on temperature. The electrical resistivity includes an electrical resistivity transition zone including an increase in electrical resistivity over a temperature range such that, when the PTCR heating element is heated to a first temperature within the transition zone, current flow from the power source is reduced to a level that limits further temperature increases of the PTCR heating element. Related apparatus, systems, techniques, and articles are also described.

The first subassembly may include a cartridge connector that secures a vaporizer cartridge to the vaporizer device and includes at least two receptacle contacts that electrically communicate with the vaporizer cartridge. The vaporizer device may include a second subassembly. The second subassembly may include a skeleton defining a rigid tray that retains at least a power source. The vaporizer device may also include a third subassembly. The third subassembly may include a plurality of charging contacts that supply power to the power source, and an end cap that encloses an end of the vaporizer device.

The vaporizer device may serve as a replacement for traditional combustible cigarettes. Accordingly, the user device may be configured to collect usage data from the vaporizer device and generate recommendations to enhance and/or expedite the transition from traditional combustible cigarettes to the vaporizer device. For example, the user device may provide puff coaching to enable a more satisfying initial experience. Alternatively and/or additionally, the user device may recommend pod types and/or puff patterns that are associated with a reduction in overall intake.

摘要: A charging case assembly for a vaporizer device includes a lower housing pivotably coupled to an upper housing. The lower housing can include a rechargeable power supply and a coupling mechanism configured to receive and position the vaporizer device within the lower housing. The coupling mechanism can include a cradle portion positioned along the lower housing and further include an elongated base that is recessed along an inner surface of the lower housing. The cradle portion can be configured to receive the vaporizer device such that a first elongated side of the vaporizer device is positioned against the base of the cradle portion. The coupling mechanism can further include a pair of case contacts positioned adjacent a first end of the base.

摘要: Cartridges for use with a vaporizer body are provided. In some implementations, a cartridge having a top end and a bottom end comprises a mouthpiece proximate to the top end, a transparent storage compartment configured to store vaporizable material, and a heater assembly attached to the transparent storage compartment at the bottom end. The heater assembly comprises a heating element, a pair of electrical contacts, a wick, and a heater chamber formed at least in part from two metal walls configured to provide a heat shield between the heating element and the storage compartment, coupled to the pair of electrical contacts. The pair of electrical contacts are disposed at the bottom end and are configured to complete an electrical circuit with the vaporizer body when the cartridge is inserted into the vaporizer body.
