    Abstract: An embodiment of the present invention provides a method for user equipment (UE) to transceive signals related to packet data network (PDN) connection in a wireless communication system, the method for transceiving signals related to PDN connection comprising: a step of checking 3GPP PS Data Off Exempt services; a step in which UE determines whether or not to create PDN connection, based on the type of PDN connection the UE wants to create and the result of checking the 3GPP PS Data Off Exempt services; and a step of transmitting a PDN connection request if the UE decides to create the PDN connection.

    Abstract: Systems and techniques for handling a protocol data unit (PDU) session by a wireless device implementing an access stratum (AS) layer and a non-access stratum (NAS) layer in a wireless communication system. An example technique includes determining, by the AS layer of the wireless device, whether a user plane for the PDU session is activated or released; transferring, by the AS layer and to the NAS layer of the wireless device based on a determination that the user plane for the PDU session is activated, first information indicating that the user plane for the PDU session is activated; and transferring, by the AS layer and to the NAS layer of the wireless device based on a determination that the user plane for the PDU session is released, second information indicating that the user plane for the PDU session is released.

    Abstract: Disclosed herein are a method and apparatus for monitoring UE reachability in a wireless communication system. A method for monitoring UE reachability may include receiving, by a Mobility Management Entity, a monitoring request message for UE reachability including a maximum response time from a Home Subscriber Server, detecting, by the MME, the UE reachability if it is expected that paging is able to be transmitted to UE when extended Discontinuous Reception is applied to the UE, and sending, by the MME, a UE reachability notification to a Service Capability Exposure Function before a next paging occasion of the UE, wherein the maximum response time may indicate a time during which the UE maintains a reachable state so that downlink data is reliably delivered to the UE, and wherein an occasion when the UE reachability notification is transmitted may be determined by taking into consideration the maximum response time.

    Abstract: A method for moving user equipment (UE) from a next generation system (NGS) to an evolved packet system (EPS) in a wireless communication system comprises: by the UE, a step of determining to move to the EPS; and a step of transmitting a radio resource control (RRC) connection request and an attach request to the EPS. In the method for moving from the NGS to the EPS, if the UE has an ongoing voice call when determining to move to the EPS, the UE maintains the ongoing voice call by performing at least one of an access class barring (ACB) execution or a transmission of ongoing voice call related information by using “ongoing voice call” call type information.
