    Abstract: The embodiments of the present disclosure provides a method and apparatus for video signal processing. A method for decoding an image signal according to an embodiment of the present disclosure may include determining an input length and an output length of a non-separable transform based on a height and a width of a current block; determining a non-separable transform matrix corresponding to the input length and the output length of a non-separable transform; and applying the non-separable transform matrix to coefficients by a number of the input length in the current block, wherein the height and the width of a current block is greater than or equal to 8, wherein, if each of the height and the width of a current block is equal to 8, the input length of the non-separable transform is determined as 8.

    Abstract: A method for decoding a picture, according to the present invention, comprises the steps of: receiving split flag information and merge flag information; splitting a coding unit (CU) of one or more depths n into CUs of depth n+1, on the basis of the split flag information; generating a merged CU by combining parts of the CUs of the depth n+1, on the basis of the merge flag information; and performing a decoding procedure for generating a restoration picture, on the basis of the generated merge CU. According to the present invention, a decoding procedure can be performed by merging CUs having similar characteristics, and thus auxiliary information to be received and processed is reduced and coding efficiency is improved.

    Abstract: A video decoding method performed by a decoding device includes: deriving control points (CPs) for a current block; acquiring motion vectors for the CPs; deriving a sample-unit motion vector in the current block based on the acquired motion vectors; deriving a prediction sample for the current block based on the sample-unit motion vector; and generating a restoration sample based on the prediction sample, wherein coordinates of a bottom-right sample position of the current block are (0, 0), and coordinates of CP0 among the CPs are (0, 0). Inter prediction is effectively performed through sample-unit motion vectors even when an image in a current block is planarly moved and variously changed, and since motion vectors for CPs are derived based on already-decoded neighboring blocks, an amount of information for the motion vectors for the CPs and for a residual signal for the current block is reduced, improving overall coding efficiency.
