Abstract: The present invention generally relates to the field of network communication. In an embodiment, the present invention is a breakaway RJ45 cable assembly that includes a standard RJ45 plug inserted into a modified RJ45 jack that, upon a sufficient amount of tension, releases the installed standard RJ45 plug.
