Abstract: Aspects are directed to a wireless measurement entity that performs a carrier phase measurement associated with a reference signal for positioning (RS-P) measurement for a position estimation of a user equipment (UE). The wireless measurement entity determines error information associated with the carrier phase measurement. The wireless measurement entity transmits the RS-P measurement to a position estimation entity, and further transmits the carrier phase measurement and an indication of the error information to the position estimation entity. The position estimation entity determines a position estimate of the UE based on the RS-P measurement, the carrier phase measurement, and the indication of the error information.

Abstract: Aspects presented herein may enable a network entity (e.g., a location server, an LMF, etc.) to generate and configure virtual anchors and/or virtual positioning reference units (VPRUs) for a UE for UE-based positioning. In one aspect, a network entity receives an indication to perform UE-based positioning for a UE. The network entity configures, for the UE, assistance data that includes a list of virtual anchors and a list of VPRUs for the UE-based positioning. The network entity transmits the assistance data including the list of virtual anchors and the list of VPRUs. The network entity may generate the list of virtual anchors based on a location offset to each physical anchor in a set of physical anchors. The network entity may generate the list of VPRUs based on at least one physical PRU.

Abstract: Techniques are provided in which changes to a bandwidth part (BWP) of a target user equipment (UE) are restricted during a processing window (PW) for measuring and processing reference signal (RS) resources. These BWP change restrictions may be implemented by employing any combination of (i) ensuring a serving base station will not reconfigure or switch the BWP during the PW, (ii) ensuring the UE suspends a BWP inactivity timer of current BWP, (iii) ensuring the numerology and/or bandwidth (BW) of the BWP do not change, and/or (iv) preventing a change to an overlapping spectrum between the BWP and a spectrum of the RS resources.
