    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for determining a transmit diversity across orbital angular momentum (OAM) modes are described. In some examples, a first device may select a subset of OAM modes for a transmit diversity scheme associated with communications between the first device and a second device. The first device may transmit an indication of the transmit diversity scheme, where the transmit diversity scheme may indicate the subset of OAM modes to the second device. The first device may then transmit signaling (e.g., a data packet, one or more signals, a data stream) to the second device using a set of transmitter circles of the first device. In response, the second device may transmit a feedback message, indicating signal strength measurements associated with one or more OAM modes. The first device may determine a set of OAM modes to use for subsequent signaling based on the feedback message.

    Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a first wireless communication device may transmit, to a second wireless communication device, information indicating positions of orbital angular momentum (OAM) antennas of a partial receive circle of the first wireless communication device that are operational. The partial receive circle is part of a full receive circle that includes positions with the OAM antennas that are operational and one or more positions that do not have OAM antennas that are operational. The first wireless communication device may receive an OAM mode to use for reception of an OAM signal at the OAM antennas that are operational. The first wireless communication device may then receive the OAM signal according to the OAM mode. Numerous other aspects are described.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive, from a base station, a sensing configuration associated with a sensing mode, the sensing configuration indicating one or more parameter values that the UE is to use to perform sensing of objects within a detectable range of the UE, and the sensing configurating further indicating a format for providing a sensing report according to the sensing mode. The UE may receive one or more sensing waveforms based at least in part on the sensing configuration. The UE may transmit, to the base station according to the sensing mode, a sensing report indicating information associated with the one or more sensing waveforms.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. In some systems, a base station may configure multiple types of resources at a user equipment (UE) for interference management processing at the UE in examples in which the base station employs a non-linear precoding technique. The multiple types of resources configured by the base station may include a first resource type configured for measuring channel gain at the UE, a second resource type configured for measuring non-linear interference at the UE arising from lower-layer data streams, and a third resource type configured for measuring linear interference at the UE arising from higher-layer data streams. The base station may transmit one or more reference signals to the UE over each of the multiple resource types and the UE may determine both a non-linear interference measurement and a linear interference measurement based on receiving the reference signals.

    Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A communication device, which may be a user equipment (UE), may receive a message including an indication of a set of demodulation reference signal (DMRS) candidates for a data channel. The data channel may be a physical downlink shared channel (PDSCH) or a physical uplink shared channel (PUSCH) in some examples. The UE may determine a set of parameters associated with the set of DMRS candidates based on the received message. The set of parameters may correspond to a radio frequency spectrum subband or a radio frequency spectrum band associated with the data channel. The UE may estimate one or more characteristics of the data channel using the set of parameters associated with the set of DMRS candidates to perform wireless communication (e.g., PDSCH reception, PUSCH transmission).
