摘要: When a first node is subject to a maximum permissible exposure (MPE) condition, it may be beneficial for the first node to signal, to a second node, an uplink beam to be used for communications and/or one or more properties of the uplink beam. For example, the first node may signal a downlink beam, from a first reciprocal beam pair, and an uplink beam, from a second reciprocal beam pair, to be used for communications, and/or may signal one or more properties of the uplink beam and/or the downlink beam. Additionally, or alternatively, the second node may transmit, to the first node, a signaling state (e.g., a transmission configuration indication (TCI) state) that indicates properties to be used to configure an uplink beam and/or a downlink beam. In this way, the first node and the second node may configure beams in a manner that accounts for MPE limitations.

A wireless device may identify a set of power configurations for a plurality of communications with at least one target device. The set of power configurations may be based at least in part on a type of signal, a type of channel, a parameter of the wireless device, a parameter of the target device, or a combination thereof. The wireless device may then determine a duplexing mode for the plurality of communications based at least in part on the set of power configurations. The duplexing mode may be, for example, a full duplex mode or a half-duplex mode. The wireless device may then transmit the plurality of communications to and/or receive the plurality of communications from the at least one target device according to the set of power configurations and the selected duplexing mode.

摘要: When beamforming (e.g., via a millimeter wave system (mmW)) is used for wireless communication, a base station may transmit beams that are directed to certain directions. Due to the directional nature of the beams in the mmW system, an approach to determine a beam that provides a desirable gain is studied. The apparatus may be a user equipment (UE). The apparatus receives, from a base station, a plurality of signals through a plurality of beams of the base station, each of the plurality of beams corresponding to a respective antenna port of a plurality of antenna ports of the base station. The apparatus performs channel estimation for each beam of the plurality of beams from the plurality of antenna ports based on the plurality of signals. The apparatus transmits, to the base station, a feedback signal including information about one or more beams selected from the plurality of beams, the feedback signal further including one or more candidate uplink precoders.

摘要: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A central access node (CAN) may manage and schedule resources for a wireless mesh network. The CAN may transmit a first message to a relay access node (AN) to expedite transmission of a priority communication in the wireless mesh network. The first message may provide configuration information for modifying a preconfigured schedule to expedite the transmission of the priority communication. For example, the first message may provide configuration information to modify a preconfigured schedule to allow a first network node to transmit the priority communication to a second network node during a reserved time period. The relay AN may generate a second message regarding the modified schedule and transmit the second message to the second network node.

A base station may transmit, to a user equipment (UE) operating in a discontinuous reception mode, a wakeup signal indicating whether data is available to be transmitted to the UE, the wakeup signal transmitted using a first set of transmit beams, which may be selected from a periodic beam management procedure, in accordance with a beam sweeping configuration. The base station may receive, from the UE and based at least in part on the wakeup signal, a response signal. The base station may perform, based at least in part on the response signal, further beam update procedures to identify a second set of transmit beams for future transmissions of the wakeup signal and/or for transmission of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) to the UE.

Techniques may include multiplexing of messages on a radio bearer (RB), establishment of separate RBs for different control messages, and encapsulation of one type of control message for transmission with the other type of control message.

A base station may identify that data is available to be transmitted to a user equipment (UE) that is operating in a discontinuous reception (DRX) mode. The base station may configure a plurality of UE-specific reference signals for transmission to the UE, each UE-specific reference signal indicating a UE identifier and an availability of data for the UE. The UE may receive the UE-specific reference signal, and identify that data is available for the UE from the base station. The UE may then transmit a beam recovery signal to the base station that includes an identifier for the transmit beam used by the UE to transmit the beam recovery signal. The base station may transmit, using a beam sweeping configuration, the plurality of UE-specific reference signals.

摘要: Techniques for procedures using request to send/clear to send (RTS/CTS) procedures and multiple timers are described. A RTS/CTS procedure using multiple timers may use a first timer and a second timer. The first timer may be associated with a duration to transmit and receive a request to send (RTS) message and a clear to send (CTS) message. The second timer may be associated with a duration to transmit a data message. A network device may transmit a RTS message to request communication resources to transmit data. If the CTS message is not received prior to the expiration of the first timer, neighboring network devices may determine that the communication resources were not allocated and may attempt to request the newly available resources. If a CTS message is received, the network device may communicate the second timer data to the neighboring network devices in a variety of ways.

A wireless node may transmit directional signals in a sweeping transmission pattern while receiving communications from a second wireless node. Another wireless node may then, during a listen-before-talk (LBT) procedure, receive one of the directional signals, and terminate a correspondence communication session to avoid potential interference. Additionally or alternatively, a wireless node may listen in directions in a sweeping receive pattern while transmitting to a second wireless node. While listening, the wireless node may detect a transmission from a third wireless node in a particular direction. The wireless node may then accordingly refrain from transmitting in that direction to avoid potential interference.

摘要: Techniques are described for wireless communication. In one method, a user equipment (UE) receives a timing synchronization signal (TSS) and a physical broadcast channel (PBCH), with the TSS based at least in part on a timing of the TSS within a broadcast channel transmission time interval (BCH TTI); determines the timing of the TSS within the BCH TTI; and demodulates the PBCH based at least in part on the TSS. In another method, a base station allocates resources for a TSS and a PBCH within a BCH TTI; determines the TSS based at least in part on a timing of the TSS within the BCH TTI; and transmits, on the resources allocated for the TSS and the PBCH, the TSS and the PBCH, with the TSS transmitted as a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) for the PBCH on at least one port used to transmit the TSS and the PBCH.
